You should be a customer-focused leader with the ability to effectively motivate, encourage, lead, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams, with proven experience establishing and achieving project objectives.
Primary responsibilities will include
- Manage customer interaction and expectations through the length of the project / contract scope
- Lead / manage cross-functional project teams in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Planning to ensure on-time and accurate orders that meet customer requirements
- Exhibit financial mastery of the project including budget management, revenue management, invoice management/forecasting, change order management, procurement management, and payment assurance
- Manage project financials with a proactive approach to predict financial issues before they arise
- Maintain the Project Cost Forecasting (PCF) for appropriate scheduling and tracking of project units and scope
- Schedule Revenue and manage P/L
- Schedule Mechanical/Controls Engineering and Installation resources as required
- Support proposal activities for new prospects in Applications Group as well as lead change order proposals to support scope changes on current projects and be able to quote, sell and negotiate changes
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives by recognizing and correcting internal and external processes when necessary (including improvements related to project management and Oracle ERP system improvements to allow for simpler user interactions)
- Oracle Improvement (recognize and correct Oracle interfaces to allow simpler user interactions)
- Occasional extended travel to customer sites in support of project or sales initiatives
- Travel to multiple FANUC build site locations to support project requirements and work at those locations as needed based on phase of project
- Function as a mentor/guide for other Project Managers and Associate Project Managers (to assist in PM growth potential)
- Occasional need for extended hours to meet deadlines in response to customer and project requirements
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- 8+ years project / program management experience
- 8+ years automation or application experience
- Experience with Microsoft Project Schedule
- Proven ability to successfully lead/manage multiple large projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated effective collaboration and negotiation experience with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. project teams, buyers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- 10+ years of project or program management experience
- 10+ years of experience in automation or application
- Experience with Oracle ERP System
- Experience in machine tool or related industry experience
- Experience with AutoCAD
