The role also develops customer and tradeshow demonstration systems and contributes to new robotics technology. Travel to customer sites and tradeshows is approximately 15%.

As an Application Engineer, you'll provide expertise on FANUC CNC systems, support OEMs and end users, offer technical assistance, and promote products. You'll travel frequently, develop technical solutions, and work on application development in manufacturing environments.

Provide technical leadership for physical AI, virtual commissioning, and digital twin robotics applications. Support pre- and post-sales, perform feasibility studies, simulations, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and proof-of-concepts. Develop applications, improve robotics software, support vision/iRVision, and collaborate with sales and engineering teams to integrate and optimize FANUC robot solutions.

The Technical Specialist provides advanced telephone support for FANUC robotics and related equipment, handles service requests, and resolves customer issues while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Manage and expand FANUC’s CRX distribution network by recruiting, developing, and retaining distributors, authorized system integrators, and device partners. Establish performance metrics, conduct business reviews, implement improvement plans, drive channel growth programs, support partner opportunities, and increase market share. The role requires customer-facing or selling experience, capital equipment knowledge, automation competency, and robotic application engineering and programming expertise.

Lead product planning and strategy for robotic software products: define requirements, prioritize development, manage releases and maintenance, coordinate testing with R&D, create technical marketing and pricing materials, support demos/training, resolve product issues, and assist sales and regional engineering with product adoption.

Design and approve mechanical components and layouts for robotic paint and dispense systems, including robot layouts, end-of-arm tooling, and application equipment; coordinate design engineers, create drawings, enter parts into Oracle ERP, and manage multiple projects to meet schedules.

Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments; assign and update warehouse locations; perform inventory data entry; operate material handling equipment; develop/execute transaction support programs; maintain records; mentor new employees; work third shift as needed.

Provide regional technical support, training, and advanced controls/software expertise for FANUC robotics integrators and end users. Use CAD and FANUC tools for simulations, demos, vision troubleshooting, and pre-engineering. Support sales with application assistance, accompany sales calls, document support requests, attend trade shows, and travel up to 50%.

The Design Engineer will develop and maintain software solutions, support customers, conduct training, and collaborate within an Agile team.

Responsible for PLC/HMI/GUI software design, programming, debugging for robotic applications, collaborating with teams and troubleshooting systems.

Develop, implement, and test robotic automation applications (welding, milling, laser processing, assembly, material removal). Support sales, product testing, system builds, trade shows, and create technical sales materials and functional specifications.

Provide application engineering support for FANUC automotive customers: troubleshoot and resolve robot application issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop solution concepts and demo cells, support sales with technical materials, and drive product/application requirements.

Manage and maintain customer account data in Oracle, perform audits and merges, correct records, communicate with internal/external stakeholders, support system changes, train staff, and produce regular reports while ensuring data security and compliance.

Develop embedded software for FANUC robot controller systems (RTOS environment). Work includes file systems, multi-CPU/core architectures, UI (HTML5/JavaScript/REST/WebGL), memory management, logging, security, design/specification, testing, documentation, field problem resolution, and mentoring junior engineers.
