We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage, plan, and coordinate all activities for a cross-platform mobile application development project. This position will be full-time, contract, and hybrid in Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do
Review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation for mobile application development phases
Establish comprehensive work plans for Ionic-based mobile development, Spring Boot backend services, and Oracle database integration phases
Coordinate recruitment and assignment of project personnel including mobile developers, technical architects, business analysts, and testing engineers
Direct and coordinate activities of development team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget constraints
Manage sub-contractors and their workforce as needed for specialized components
Monitor integration of Miovision API, NLP capabilities, haptic feedback systems, and GPS-based location services
Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as required to address technical challenges or changing requirements
Prepare comprehensive project reports for management and stakeholders on development progress, technical milestones, and risk mitigation
Conduct regular project meetings to provide technical guidance, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure alignment with accessibility (WAVE) and security compliance (Coverity) requirements
Ensure successful deployment of mobile application to both Android and iOS platforms
Oversee multilingual support implementation and testing across all supported languages
What You'll Need
Required:
Proven experience managing cross-platform mobile application development projects using Ionic Framework or similar technologies
Strong understanding of mobile development lifecycle for both Android and iOS platforms
Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and enterprise Java application development
Knowledge of API integration, particularly real-time data services
Familiarity with accessibility standards (ADA compliance) and security testing requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred:
PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$140,000 - $170,000 per yearThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
