Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will lead and serve a team of personnel assigned to a product implementation or upgrade, and dependent on project size and scope, this Project Manager may be assigned specific, strategic clients to manage.
In this role you will be accountable for project deliverables, timeline/milestones, and budgeting. Keys to this role will be creating and maintaining a project plan, working with managers to estimate work effort and allocate resources, and delivering excellent customer service by building a strong and effective working relationship with the customer.
This role may include mentoring other Project Managers within the PMO organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project strategy and data analytics for multiple ongoing projects.
- Develops, updates, and actively manages a comprehensive project plan, including tasks, start and end dates, work effort, resource assignments, milestones, and critical path.
- Actively leads the project planning process, stages, and customer engagement.
- Mentor Project Manager & Project Coordinators within the PMO organization.
- Accountable for the successful completion of a project's deliverables.
- Documents project scope and changes in accordance with change control
- Drives collaboration between functional teams and customers to achieve milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate with managers and directors to secure resources for a project.
- Coordinates, schedules, and facilitates meetings and onsite activities.
- Documentation and reporting on all project matters in a timely fashion.
- Drafts Statement of Work (SOW) or Change Request (CR) as appropriate.
- Responsible for larger, more complex strategic accounts
Skills Requirement:
- Minimum of 5-7 years as an IT Project Manager.
- Experience within or alongside the Health Insurance, Payer or Healthcare SaaS space is preferred.
- Prior client product implementation experience required.
- Prior experience analyzing project data and statistics using business applications preferred. Experience with MS Project required.
- Able to analyze risks in defect reporting, change of workflow requests or management defects.
- Successfully executed at least one implementation end-to-end on time, within budget.
- Proven experience building strong relationships within the PMO & with external clients.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of integrations, data, sprint planning, QA preparedness, and agile methodologies.
- Experienced in project governance, capacity planning, and project budgeting.
- Proficient technical understanding: ability to demonstrate knowledge of software development life cycle, application design, integration, and hosting technologies.
- Experience with JIRA preferred.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelors Degree or related experience.
- PMP and/or proven PMI application experience preferred.
Additional Requirement:
- Ability to work across all time zones.
- Some travel to Tampa office or client sites might be necessary.
