Responsibilities

The main purpose of the MEP Project Manager role is to ensure timely completion of the project within approved budgets on cost and resources without compromising on quality & safety.

  • Manage the development of KSA national employees across the function to support corporate objectives, Saudization targets and the knowledge dissemination culture to ensure optimal building of internal capabilities and maximize their performance
  • Provide inputs to Human Resources on succession planning, employee career growth, and organizational structure
  • Manage and conduct the affairs of the team with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across all function’s employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices

  • Manage the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP in the function
  • Represent the organization and enhance relationships in dealings with client, consultants and regulatory authorities to ensure all agreements are implemented
  • Lead and communicate with Company’s field supervision, subcontractors and vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule as it pertains to MEP
  • Represent the Company with owner(s), architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors and subcontractors
  • Administer financial aspects of the owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders
  • Build effective working relationships with clients and the Company’s project team members
  • Review the general contract and contract documents and confirm the budget setup and project milestones in conjunction with Project Lead
  • Create a schedule of values and project logs, plan for project safety and mobilization, including review and validation with team members
  • Review purchasing process and document control
  • Maintain the cost control, buy schedule, write scopes of work, distribute and log subcontracts, write required contract riders and purchase orders, and confirm compliance with project insurance requirements
  • Maintain and manage all purchase and delivery schedules, change order processes, shop drawings, document control logs, Owner, Architect and Subcontractor correspondence
  • Attend all schedule and management MEP meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project, chairing as appropriate
  • Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and project payroll and maintains best possible cash flow throughout the project, communicating issues proactively
  • Deliver all necessary manuals and consolidate project documentation and files
  • Manage subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training, and punch list process
  • Deliver all warranties, as-builts and training to the owner
  • Manage work teams for effective delivery of daily objectives including the control of work hours, overtime and incentive schemes to improve efficiency
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in MEP construction and project management, of which at least 5 years in a managerial position
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
  • Well versed in construction project safety, NEBOSH or OSHA certification is mandatory
  • Excellent communication, people management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Well-versed in identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Capable of predicting project cost to complete and abiding to budgeted project plan
  • Experienced in P&L accountability with business acumen
  • Good knowledge in Construction Management, QA/QC Management, and Contractual Management
  • Proven ability to handle complex projects with a focus on results
  • Demonstrate high level of knowledge in civil construction management along with project management skills
  • Provide proficient knowledge in engineering along with HSE implementations
  • Well-experienced in implementing Statutory, Legal, and Company Policies and Procedures
