The Opportunity
Due to our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed design. These position reports directly to the Delivery Manager and involves working on a diverse array of projects and clients across the Mineral Processing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the effective delivery of programs or portfolios of jobs/projects/studies from conceptual design through to detailed design, execution and commissioning.
Build, develop, and grow stakeholder relationships across our long term and repeat client base
Ability to work with clients with diverse project requirements (Tier 1 to Start-up)
Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
Lead the job/project/study team, including contractors, through setting tasks, expectations, scope and providing guidance through all phases to completion.
Lead effective meetings and represent the Company in communications pertaining to broad aspects of the project.
Develop or review job/project/study, engineering, execution scope, budget, and schedule dependencies and constraints
About You
- 15+ years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, energy, and chemicals.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering consulting environment
- Relevant Engineering degree (Process or mechanical background strongly desired)
- Project management certification (PMP, AIPM, APM).
- Leading multidiscipline project teams including cross functional support (Project Controls, Estimators, Schedulers, Document Controllers)
- Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
- Understanding of project budget, schedule and able to communicate engineering deliverable requirements
- Proficiency in the engineering and drafting management process tailored to the client and project phase requirements
