The Role
As the Senior Project Manager - Renewables you will play a pivotal role in leading our projects end to end across all facets of renewables such as Wind, Solar, BESS and Hydrogen. Showing leadership and delivery capabilities along with strong stakeholder engagement across clients and governing bodies within the sector will enable you to be successful in this role and really add value to the SJ Group overall growth strategy in the region.
You will also oversee the review and validation of engineering deliverables for renewable energy projects and be responsible for the integration of innovative technologies, such as battery energy storage systems (BESS) and smart grid solutions, to enhance the overall performance of our ever-growing project pipeline.
If you consider yourself an expert in the Renewable Energy field who has delivered projects with a combined capacity of at least 100MW+, then this could be the new career opportunity you have been looking for.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- At least 15 years working experience, with at least 5 of them within the Renewables industry, preferably working for EPC companies, IPPs or OE firms managing utility scale energy projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Masters in Renewable Energy or PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) is desirable.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in utility-scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record as a Project Manager or Deputy PM on at least one grid-connected BESS, renewable, or HV electrical infrastructure project.
- Familiarity with Li-ion battery systems, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), EMS, MV/HV substations (up to 380kV), and SCADA integration.
- Strong understanding of construction management, commissioning protocols, and QA/QC in energy projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and EDMS tools like Aconex.
- Experience with renewable energy technologies such as Wind, Solar, BESS or hydrogen is highly desirable
