What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • As a member of the NG team, you will be expected to assist the NG sector in Texas by supporting the pursuit of business development opportunities for rail & transit projects and by delivering won projects successfully and profitably.
  • Manage a wide variety and complexity of rail + transit-related projects.
  • Responsible for serving as Project Manager on identified projects and delivering profitable, repeatable results.  

  • Maintain project schedules and manage project finances, including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin.
  • Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing others' work.
  • Oversee and approve invoicing and billing, manage project scope, and secure change orders as needed.
  • Interact and coordinate with company Project Managers, Purchasing, Compliance, Accounting, and Legal entities to provide and assemble efficient and competitive proposals.

  • Ensure accountability and profitability in the development, execution, and long-term management of rail and transit projects by providing support and expertise to the project delivery teams.

  • Act as EXP’s representative with the client and selected subcontractors during project execution

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for project pursuits

  • Build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships.

 

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required

  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in the transit and/or passenger rail business, well-known project manager and leader in the community, and ability to receive a license PE in Texas.

  • The successful candidate will lead and coordinate alternative delivery pursuits and assure compliance with EXP’s policies

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project

Skills Required
