About the role
DP World is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in civil or construction to lead civil and Operating technology infrastructure projects across our Container Terminal & Container Park operational businesses in Melbourne. You'll bring hands-on project delivery experience, having successfully led multiple projects, and know how to build schedules that capture the complex interdependencies across sites and work streams.
Working closely with the Container Park Project Manager and the broader logistics and operations team, you'll help drive real project outcomes and smarter processes across terminal operations.
Key Accountabilities -
- Scope and document all project documentation and processes for our current and future business model
- Use data analysis and process mapping to spot potential impacts across the business
- Build strong relationships across stakeholders and keep everyone aligned through each project phase
- Run regular stakeholder meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and manage competing priorities
- Key interface with Developer, DPW Technology and Operational teams and Operating Technology Contractors
- Plan ahead and flag risks early if a deadline looks at risk
- Own project plans and build the schedule/s, keeping milestones and dependencies on track
- Own the risk management function to assess risk considering schedule or budget impacts
- Ensure reporting, documentation, and sign-offs on time and in line with our project methodology
Qualifications, Skills and Experience -
- Tertiary qualification in business, Civil Engineering/ Construction background, or information systems (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10 years as a Project Manager across construction and technology infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of business operations, ideally within Ports or Logistics
- Experience gathering and shaping both business and technical requirements
- Hands-on delivery experience with technology infrastructure implementations
- Comfortable overseeing software and hardware solution design and rollout
- A knack for writing clear requirements, whether for a technical or non-technical audience
- Strong analytical skills, with a good handle on product management and software development lifecycle concepts
- Confident with project management tools, planning, and resourcing
- A genuine team player, equally comfortable working independently
- Sharp problem-solver who can make sound calls under pressure
- Excellent communicator — written, verbal, and a good listener too
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and great at prioritising when things get busy
