Summary Generated by Built In
Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

As our community grows, so does the impact of our work in building a society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to the greater good. Stand Together Trust is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the execution of high-impact activations— large-scale, community-facing initiatives that bring together partnerships, media, content, and events to drive engagement at scale.

This role serves as a key operational lead across complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring projects move forward efficiently, stakeholders remained aligned, and deliverables are executed successfully. You will operate in a highly matrixed environment, working closely with Activation Leaders, internal teams, and external partners to coordinate timelines, manage workflows, track progress, and maintain operational rigor throughout the activation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused, with strong project management discipline and the ability to drive work forward with clarity and urgency.

How You Will Contribute

  • Organize and manage the planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional activation initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure processes and deliverables follow established scope, timelines, and decision frameworks that are measured against KPIs and success metrics.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through across teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or blockers, and escalate issues as needed to maintain momentum.
  • Ensure alignment across internal stakeholders, leadership, and external partners regarding timelines, priorities, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Support the development and distribution of briefing materials, status updates, presentations, and project communications.
  • Maintain operational consistency across initiatives through effective documentation, workflows, tracking systems, and project management tools.
  • Help identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to improve coordination and execution efficiency.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality execution.
  • Build and refine operational systems (tracking tools, knowledge management, workflows) to improve coordination and visibility across teams.
  • Facilitate clear communication and information flow so stakeholders have the context needed to make informed decisions.
  • Capture insights and learnings from activations to inform future strategy, experimentation, and scaling efforts.
  • Support budget tracking, resource coordination, and project reporting as needed.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and timelines, where principles guide decision-making rather than rigid processes.

What You Will Bring

  • 5 - 8 years of project management or program management, preferably supporting cross-functional initiatives in marketing, partnerships, media, events, or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as schedule, scope, communications, and stakeholder management; PMP preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder coordination across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience driving initiatives that involve external partnerships, brand/marketing efforts, or community engagement (B2C exposure is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational and process management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration and driving alignment across diverse teams and external partners.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to broader goals and outcomes; applying intuitive inquiry to workstreams.
  • Comfortable acting as a “connector” across teams, ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time.
  • Demonstrated execution discipline and accountability with a focus on delivering projects smoothly and efficiently.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive approach, willing to identify gaps and build solutions (tools, processes, workflows) as needed.
  • Skilled in conveying business requirements to the appropriate business leaders and, where necessary, with vendors.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
