Zusammen mit Ihren Teammitgliedern sind wir für über 36000 Artikel verantwortlich und betreuen international agierende Stryker-Organisationen in der Schweiz, USA, Irland, Polen, China, und Deutschland. Somit bietet Ihnen diese Vakanz die Möglichkeit, vertiefende Kenntnisse über Strykers Portfolio im Bereich Trauma & Extremitäten zu erlangen.

Das erwartet Sie

  • Leitung und Umsetzung von Produktänderungen und Optimierungen – von der Serienfertigung bis zum Produktauslauf – einschließlich Ausarbeitung technischer Konzepte und Bewertung der Auswirkungen von Produkt- und Prozessänderungen, um über den gesamten Lebenszyklus hinweg höchste Produktqualität und Funktionalität sicherzustellen.
  • Unterstützung der globalen Qualitätssicherung bei Fertigungs- und Produkttransfers durch technische Expertise und lösungsorientierte Zusammenarbeit.
  • Kontinuierliche Verbesserung bestehender Produkte – mit Blick auf Effizienz, Herstellprozesse und Kostenoptimierung.
  • Analyse und Bearbeitung von Abweichungen und Produktreklamationen – inklusive Ursachenanalyse, Maßnahmenableitung und enger Abstimmung mit Qualitätsmanagement, Fertigung, Testlabor und Zulassungsabteilung.
  • Aktive Mitwirkung in funktionsübergreifenden Teams zur Integration neuer Produkte, Leitung von NC-Teams sowie Durchführung von Korrektur- und Präventivmaßnahmen (CAPA).

Erforderlich

  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Fachrichtung Medizintechnik, Maschinenbau, Feinwerktechnik, Werkstoffwissenschaften oder einer vergleichbaren technischen Disziplin.
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in CAD, insbesondere mit Creo 6 und Windchill 11, sowie Sicherheit im Lesen und Bewerten technischer Zeichnungen.
  • Motivation und Lernbereitschaft – Sie sind neugierig, möchten sich kontinuierlich weiterentwickeln und streben danach, durch Engagement erfolgreich zu sein.
  • Eigeninitiative und Verantwortungsbewusstsein – Sie handeln proaktiv, übernehmen Verantwortung und treiben Themen selbstständig voran.
  • Analytisches Denken und Umsetzungsstärke – Sie behalten auch bei mehreren parallelen Aufgaben den Überblick und arbeiten effizient im Team, insbesondere in interdisziplinären Zusammenhängen.
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Bevorzugt

  • Grundlegendes Verständnis gängiger Fertigungsverfahren in der Medizintechnik, wie Zerspanung (Drehen, Fräsen), additive Fertigung (3D-Druck), Schmieden, Gießen, Oberflächenbehandlung (z. B. Elektropolieren, Passivieren) und Montageprozesse.
  • Erste Berufserfahrung in den Bereichen R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Design Assurance oder Change Control im regulierten Umfeld.
  • Ausgeprägte Problemlösungsfähigkeiten, die Ihr Profil abrunden.

For our global Product Supply team with members in Germany and Switzerland, we are looking for a (Senior) Project Engineer (m/f/d) to join our site in Schönkirchen/Kiel at the earliest possible date.

In your new role, you will make a significant contribution to the development and manufacturing of our innovative medical technology products, thereby supporting our mission: “Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.”

Together with your team members, we are responsible for over 36,000 products and support internationally operating Stryker organizations in Switzerland, the USA, Ireland, Poland, China, and Germany. This position therefore offers you the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of Stryker’s Trauma & Extremities portfolio.

What you can expect
  • Leading and implementing product changes and optimizations—from series production to product phase-out—including the development of technical concepts and evaluation of the impact of product and process changes, ensuring the highest product quality and functionality throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Supporting global quality assurance in manufacturing and product transfers through technical expertise and solution-oriented collaboration.
  • Continuous improvement of existing products, with a focus on efficiency, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization.
  • Analysis and handling of deviations and product complaints—including root cause analysis, definition of corrective actions, and close coordination with quality management, manufacturing, test laboratories, and regulatory affairs.
  • Active participation in cross-functional teams for the integration of new products, leading NC (non-conformance) teams, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
What sets you apart

Required

  • Successfully completed degree in medical engineering, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, materials science, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of CAD, particularly Creo 6 and Windchill 11, as well as confidence in reading and evaluating technical drawings.
  • Motivation and willingness to learn—you are curious, eager to continuously develop, and driven to succeed through commitment.
  • Initiative and sense of responsibility—you act proactively, take ownership, and independently drive topics forward.
  • Analytical thinking and strong execution skills—you maintain an overview even when handling multiple parallel tasks and work efficiently in teams, especially in interdisciplinary environments.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Basic understanding of common manufacturing processes in medical technology, such as machining (turning, milling), additive manufacturing (3D printing), forging, casting, surface treatment (e.g., electropolishing, passivation), and assembly processes.
  • Initial professional experience in R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Design Assurance, or Change Control in a regulated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills that round off your profile.
