Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role will be to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments classified as HV system engineering complexity (66kV to 400kV). Ensures that the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Operation Centers and Quality division based in Bangalore / Chennai, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic and detail engineering activities and provide optimized solutions for High Voltage electrical system in industrial projects specifically Offshore wind farm, Onshore Power from Shore and Battery energy storage system (BESS).
- Preparation Key SLD, Protection single line diagram, equipment arrangement plan and section.
- Design calculations for equipment sizing, earthing calculation, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculation, lightning calculation
- Layout engineering for equipment arrangement, cabling, earthing, lighting and lightning protections.
- Prepare equipment datasheet, specifications, technical bid evaluation, manufacturer documents review and approval for all equipment used in below HV system:
- Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) from 66kV and up to 400 kV
- Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) from 66kV and up to 400 kV
- Power Transformers
- Shunt Reactors
- Associated control, metering & protection panels in scope
- Prepare equipment BOM, cable schedule, Interconnection diagram and termination schedule for complete HV system
- Coordinate with substation automation system / SCADA system for interface engineering activities, Coordination with civil, structural, supply chain, commercial, project management, and manufacturing, testing and site execution teams. Estimate effort for engineering, testing and commissioning
- Prepare Engineering Schedule in line with agreed document deliverable list, matching engineering portion of project schedule.
- Travelling to customer and vendor locations to support engineering, manufacturing and FAT activities.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience for Project Engineering
- Worked as Project Engineer in at least 4 to 6 large size projects in HV system.
- Onshore/Offshore -substation experience will be preferred. Minimum 1 to 2 years experince on site execution is preferred.
- Pre-Bid Engineering, Bid & Proposal exposure is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in using design tools like relay selections, equipment sizing, earthing, lighting calculation tools etc.,
- Basic Knowledge of power system study and network modelling preferred
- Basic knowledge on communication archtecture, IEC 61850, relay selections (ABB/Hitachi/GE/SEL) is preferred.
- Understanding the various International Standard/ statutory requirements like IEEE/IEC/ANSI

Skills Required
