KBR's Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division delivers mission-critical engineering, acquisition, logistics, modernization, and sustainment solutions supporting the U.S. Army's most critical combat vehicle and defense programs. Position Summary
KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex programs supporting the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle portfolio and related Army modernization initiatives.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across engineering, acquisition, systems integration, logistics, facilities, and sustainment activities while serving as a trusted advisor to government customers and senior KBR leadership. This position requires a proven leader with experience managing large-scale defense programs, customer relationships, business operations, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic acquisition environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Program & Business Leadership
· Lead full lifecycle execution of complex Department of War programs, ensuring achievement of cost, schedule, technical, and mission objectives.
· Manage program financial performance, including revenue forecasting, operating plans, resource planning, indirect cost management, and profit and loss (P&L) objectives.
· Establish program baselines, performance metrics, governance processes, and reporting structures to ensure successful execution.
· Support business growth through customer engagement, opportunity identification, capture transition, and strategic planning activities.
Customer Engagement
· Serve as the primary interface with GVSC, PAEs, TACOM, DEVCOM, and other Army stakeholders.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government, military, and industry leaders.
· Lead program management reviews, integrated product team meetings, customer briefings, and executive reviews.
· Communicate program status, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Program Execution
· Provide leadership across engineering, systems integration, logistics, test and evaluation, sustainment, and operational support activities.
· Ensure effective management of cost, schedule, technical performance, requirements, and contractual obligations.
· Lead development and delivery of program artifacts, CDRLs, technical reviews, and milestone decision briefings.
Facilities & Operations Management
· Oversee facilities, laboratories, integration environments, and operational infrastructure supporting program execution.
· Ensure facilities, equipment, security requirements, and operational resources effectively support workforce and customer needs.
· Coordinate facility utilization, operational readiness, and infrastructure improvement activities.
Risk & Supplier Management
· Establish and maintain proactive risk and opportunity management processes.
· Manage subcontractor performance, statement of work execution, quality, and schedule performance.
· Implement mitigation plans addressing technical, financial, staffing, schedule, and supplier risks.
Team Leadership
· Lead and mentor high-performing teams consisting of engineering, logistics, acquisition, operations, and support personnel.
· Support workforce planning, recruiting, employee development, and succession planning activities.
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Systems Engineering, or related field.
· 15+ years of progressively responsible program management, acquisition, engineering, logistics, or modernization experience within the DoD environment.
· Demonstrated success managing complex programs involving cost, schedule, technical performance, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
· Experience supporting Army organizations such as GVSC, PEO GCS, PEO CS&CSS, TACOM, DEVCOM, Army Futures Command, or related organizations.
· Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering, budgeting, contracting, and lifecycle management.
· Experience leading large cross-functional teams and briefing senior government stakeholders.
· Active Secret Clearance.
· U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
· MBA, Master's Degree, or equivalent advanced education.
· PMP, DAWIA Program Management Certification, or equivalent credentials.
· Experience supporting ACAT I, II, or III acquisition programs.
· Experience managing annual operating budgets, program financials, and P&L performance.
· Knowledge of ground vehicle systems, survivability systems, mobility systems, autonomy, robotics, software integration, and sustainment.
· Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, and modernization initiatives.
· Understanding of product support strategies, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), and lifecycle logistics.
· Knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, configuration management, and data management processes.
· Experience managing IDIQ contracts, task orders, and subcontractor teams.
