Position: Senior Program Manager, Marketplace Operations
The team is looking for an experienced Program Manager who is customer-obsessed, motivated, has a bias for action, and can think systemically to bring to life new areas of business for the team. This role will work closely with our Business Development team to build operational plans to launch and scale new initiative programs. This individual will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of various stakeholders including software solution teams, back-end engineers, vendor managers, in-stock managers, FC managers, and various business leaders. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, a knack for operational process planning, analytical capabilities, and strong business acumen. Additionally, this candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, and will own working with multiple operational processes across a wide range of stakeholder teams. The candidate will have a successful track record of collaborative relationship building, program and project management, leading projects and teams, and reporting and analysis capabilities.
What will you do?
- Create scalable and automated solutions for end-to-end management of new programs in partnership with various internal teams. Develop SOPs for manual management where automation is not possible.
- Drive improvement in operational performance and lead projects in a wide range of topics and initiatives to further expand our business and enhance both our customer’s and partner teams' experience.
- Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, success metrics, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams and program stakeholders.
- Work independently, but also influence and manage project teams, sub-teams, and subject matter experts to develop, test, or implement new ideas or process improvements.
- Ensure that multiple projects within the program roadmap meet specified timelines to deliver results.
- Provide expertise in problem-solving, specifically when it comes to operationalizing business plans or encouraging the implementation of process guidelines and guardrails.
- Determine and monitor project/program schedules, progress, and risks to ensure results are delivered on time. Maintain, adjust, and update project plans as needed and work with appropriate business partners to develop and collect performance metrics.
- Represent the business unit, department, or functional area on cross-functional project teams. Provide functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact and provide a framework for problem-solving.
- Engage with other teams across the company to influence projects, build relationships, encourage decision-making, and help identify or optimize existing processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, program management, e-commerce strategy & operations.
- SQL or other data-building experience.
- General problem solver with strong strategic thinking and analytical skills who can deep dive into different problem domains.
- Business experience in project/program management, operations, or customer service, preferably with e-commerce experience.
- Highly organized and a problem solver - Ability to organize and plan across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in designing and executing operational project plans by providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done.
- Ability to identify improvements, define problems, make critical decisions, and work with stakeholders throughout the company to get ideas implemented.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- International experience leading cross-functional projects.
