Location: In Office - Faribault, MN, 2nd shift
Your Responsibilities:
- Confers with management to review and establish production standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Plans and monitors production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates production activities with Production Control, Purchasing, Manufacturing Services, Maintenance, and subordinate supervisors to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems, and recommends process changes.
- Assist with developing and implementing new standard operational and work practices and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems, enhance efficiency and lean practices, improve product quality, and improve work place safety.
- Observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Creates a continuous improvement culture utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S principles, Kaizen activity, and employee participation.
- Provides suggestions to management for revising production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consults with engineering relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
- Coordinates with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager regarding training for workers on issues related to health and safety, may facilitate training either personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Coordinates with the Human Resources Director and Human Resources team on issues related to recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development, compensation, conflict resolution, motivation, corrective action, policy, contract and employment law interpretation and all employee related strategic decisions.
- Participates in grievance meetings and labor management group meetings to assist with resolving or effecting settlement of grievances. May participate in Union contract negotiations.
Your Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of related experience in manufacturing
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $136,800 +10% BIP in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
