Job Description:

Position Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will lead positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for one or more product lines within the BlackBerry Secure Communications portfolio (SecuSUITE, AtHoc, UEM), serving government, defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure markets. This role is responsible for translating deep technical and threat-landscape knowledge into authoritative, declarative messaging aligned to the BlackBerry Point of View campaign framework and its pillars of Total Communication Integrity and Unified Critical Operations.

The differentiator for this role is AI fluency. Our ambition is to rebuild product marketing around generative and agentic AI, and this role will set the standard. The successful candidate has already replaced manual workflows with multi-agent systems for research, content production, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement, and can demonstrate the leverage gained. This role partners closely with Product Management, Integrated Marketing, Sales, Content, Brand, PR, Sales Enablement, and Field Marketing to deliver category-defining work.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Agentic Workflow Development

  • Architect and stand up a new AI tooling stack for Secure Communications product marketing, including model selection, agent orchestration frameworks, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation criteria.

  • Build and maintain reusable agents and skills for competitive intelligence, content repurposing, persona simulation, message testing, and sales enablement output.

  • Document prompt patterns, guardrails, and quality benchmarks. Train product marketing peers and adjacent teams to operate this new capability.

  • Maintain working command of frontier model capabilities, MCP and tool/skill ecosystems, and the practical limits of current systems. Bring new capabilities into production as they emerge.

  • Establish measurable output gains (cycle time, asset volume, research depth) and report on them.

Positioning, Messaging & Go-to-Market

  • Own positioning, messaging hierarchies, and go-to-market strategy for assigned products, aligned to the Point of View campaign framework.

  • Translate technical capabilities into declarative, C-suite-appropriate value propositions that withstand scrutiny by CISOs, CIOs, COOs, and government program leads.

  • Lead launches for new products, releases, and certifications, coordinating across product management, sales, channel, communications, and brand.

Content & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and ship pitch decks, battle cards, one-pagers, demo scripts, technical solution briefs, whitepapers, and web copy.

  • Use AI to accelerate the draft. You are accountable for the final voice. Editorial judgment to recognize and rewrite AI-generated language is required.

  • Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across product page copy, sales collateral, analyst materials, and event content.

  • Brief field sales directly. Capable of delivering executive briefings without supervision.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with at least 3 years marketing security, communications, or mission-critical software to government, defense, or regulated enterprise buyers.

  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of generative AI and agentic systems in a marketing function. Must be able to walk through specific workflows built, tooling chosen, and measurable output gains. Required to discuss in interview.

  • Working fluency with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration frameworks, MCP, and API-level access to frontier models.

  • Demonstrated fluency with the security industry: threat actors, regulatory drivers, and the buyer dynamics inside national security and public safety organizations.

  • Proven ability to write authoritative, declarative prose for senior B2G buyers. Portfolio or work samples required.

  • Experience launching products in regulated, certification-driven markets where technical accuracy is essential.

  • Strong command of go-to-market mechanics: ICP development, messaging hierarchies, content frameworks, pricing and packaging input, sales play design.

  • Experience working with marketing automation and analytics platforms and integrating AI workflows alongside them.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, engineering, or related field. Advanced degree, relevant security certifications (CISSP, Security+), or technical AI credentials are a plus.

What You Bring

  • A builder's instinct for AI. You ship agents and skills the way previous-generation marketers shipped landing pages.

  • Editorial discipline. You know what authoritative B2G prose sounds like and refuse to ship anything that sounds like a chatbot.

  • Strong domain credibility in security and a genuine interest in the threat landscape, sovereign communications, and the operators of critical infrastructure.

  • Strategic judgment to decide what gets automated, what gets human attention, and what gets both.

  • A collaborative, declarative communication style that holds up in front of field sales, customers, and analysts.

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to compounding the team's capability over time.
