MongoDB empowers innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data.
The Role

MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

MongoDB seeks a strategic and results-oriented Senior Product Marketing Manager—Portfolio Strategy & Operations to serve as a trusted advisor and operational leader within our Product Marketing organization, reporting to the Sr. Director of Portfolio Product Marketing.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

What you’ll do

The Senior Product Marketing Manager—Portfolio Strategy & Operations is a member of a high-performing, globally distributed Portfolio Product Marketing team that delivers exceptional results to drive product adoption and revenue for MongoDB. You are a strategic thinker with analytical rigor who can consume information from a wide variety of sources, translate it for different audiences, and drive clarity by evaluating risks, recommendations, and desired outcomes. You are known for delivering high-quality written and verbal communications, can influence leaders across the company, and earn their trust. You drive cross-functional alignment, optimize cross-team collaboration, and raise the bar on our product launch, messaging, and enablement efforts. Your strong blend of product marketing acumen and operational excellence helps you identify and solve endemic problems, thrive in ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results independently.

In particular, you will

  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead and execute cross-functional programs and partner with senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and communicate opportunities for new GTM initiatives
  • Bar-raising Communications: Serve as a trusted advisor and bar-raiser for how product marketing delivers compelling strategy documents to senior leadership, creates messaging that clearly articulates innovation across the portfolio, and effectively enables GTM teams to market and sell our products
  • Operational Excellence: Invent and simplify to drive process optimization across teams and stakeholders, scale repeatable mechanisms, and align team output to marketing and company goals

What success looks like—in the first 30 days, you will

  • Deeply understand the business priorities of teams within Portfolio PMM
  • Onboard existing processes into your workflows and evaluate them for improvement
  • Build working relationships with stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams and establish lines of communication and collaboration

In the first 60 days, you will

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor who proactively identifies opportunities for operational improvement, proposes solutions, and effectively implements change
  • Develop efficient bar-raiser workflows to elevate product messaging, positioning, and narratives across Portfolio PMM teams
  • Scale communication and collaboration with stakeholder teams to effectively enable the Marketing, Sales, and GTM organizations

In the first 90 days, you will

  • Implement operational rigor across Portfolio PMM that streamlines processes through self-service and automation
  • Independently develop strategy documents, gather feedback from stakeholders, and refine narratives
  • Effectively present strategy documents to leadership and lead discussions

Beyond 90 days, you will be trusted to

  • Reinforce a culture of experimentation, high standards, and intellectual honesty across teams
  • Serve as a proxy for Portfolio PMM leadership to build consensus, make high-quality decisions, remove blockers, and drive progress
  • Deliver results by assembling cross-functional teams to tackle strategic priorities as a steward of the business

We’re looking for someone with

  • 3-6+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, product communications, or growth marketing roles at SaaS, developer/infrastructure, cloud computing, or high-growth tech businesses
  • Proven track record of leading technical product launches with measurable business impact
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data, dive deep into new areas, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for different audiences
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's degree required

Candidates who do not meet all of the requirements are encouraged to apply.
