Position Overview
Are you an experienced Principal Platform Product Manager with deep technical skills and experience with tying workflows to customer success? Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, is recruiting for a results-oriented product manager in the Autodesk Internal Development Platform team.
Autodesk Internal Development Platform is used by thousands of Autodesk developers to deliver services which see the scale of millions of hits/hours. As a product leader, you will drive the roadmap for Autodesk Internal Development Platform by turning our strategy into applicable steps that reduce toil and increase developer productivity. This is an opportunity to help shape the Autodesk Platform and make a significant impact on the future of the company.
You will report to a Director, Product Management, Developer Enablement.
This role can be located in US/Remote or Vancouver, Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Use a lean product mindset to lead product decisions and roadmap development
- You will be expected to present to CTO, CIO and C-Staff
- Set and evaluate product success using qualitative and quantitative measures
- Document user needs in workflows, use cases, or customer journeys
- Manage expectations of stakeholders through frequent and clear communication of vision, strategy, and product roadmap
- Collaborate with designers and researchers to advocate for, plan, and implement user research and solution validation plans
- Practice facilitative leadership to lead decision-making and prioritization towards positive team and product outcomes
- Contribute to the product management culture at Autodesk
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years working as Principal/Senior Product Manager (a must)
- 5-8 year’s experience with platform systems like Kubernetes, data platforms, ArgoCD, and deployment platforms (a must)
- 8+ years with cloud computing and the way distributed systems interact
- Break down complex problems into user-focused solutions
- Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners
- Manage complex end to end product launch’s across multiple internal stakeholder teams
- Experience evaluating a quickly moving competitive landscape

- Can communicate effectively with highly technical teams, business representatives, executives, and customers
- Is a problem solver who enjoys breaking down complex problems and designing elegant solutions
- A Product Manager who sets goals, measures success, and enables their teammates to make an impact
- A customer advocate who can weigh competing priorities and maintain an ongoing feedback loop between other teams and external customers
- A teammate who contributes to the team growth and continuous improvement
- An energetic presenter who can tell compelling stories and actively listen to feedback

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $151,400 and $244,860. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $144,900 and $199,210. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
