Where the team fits in

This role supports the AI Enrichment and Listings Enrichment squads, which are key to building high-value ML models and data products that power core consumer and customer experiences. Together they help teams move faster by turning complex, multi-sourced data and ML capabilities into products that are trusted, measurable and easy to leverage. Their impact can be seen across search, content enrichment, personalisation, consumer engagement, lifecycle marketing and customer insights.

Your work will help make listings more engaging, search more relevant and audience intelligence more useful across the business. You will be a key leader in product, working with a broad group of stakeholders to balance strategic initiatives and deliver tangible business impact.

What the role is all about

  • Set the direction for AI Enrichment and Listings Enrichment, connecting the capabilities each squad owns to clear customer and business outcomes.
  • Own the long-term vision behind REA’s audience modelling and segmentation, influencing other REA customer facing products and roadmaps.
  • Find and prioritise opportunities where better data, models or platform capabilities can make a measurable difference for consumers, customers and REA teams.
  • Own outcome-oriented roadmaps across the AI Enrichment and Listings Enrichment squads, balancing long-term needs of scale/re-use with near-term market responsiveness considerations.
  • Identify new opportunities for data acquisition, building business cases to secure investment.
  • Make smart trade-offs between immediate product outcomes and the reusable platform investment, data quality, model quality, reliability and technical-debt reduction that make future delivery faster.
  • Partner with product teams across REA to understand their strategies, identify opportunities, support discovery and educate them on how AI/ML can enhance their products and customer experiences.
  • Make recommendations on whether to grow, evolve or retire products balancing strategic direction with product performance and investment outlook.
  • A champion for data quality and ensuring our product, data and technology solutions adhere to the dimensions of data quality, including but not limited to, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, and security/privacy.
  • Work closely with engineering and data science/ML on model design, experimentation, offline and online evaluation, serving, monitoring, back-testing and measurement.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to meet every requirement. We’re looking for someone who brings strong product judgement, curiosity and the ability to work across data, AI and technology:

  • Significant product management experience with AI/ML products, data products, platforms or complex technical domains.
  • Experience taking models, data products or technical platform capabilities from discovery through production, adoption and lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of model and data-product lifecycles, including training, evaluation, serving, monitoring, retraining and deprecation.
  • A track record of prioritising reusable capabilities across multiple consuming teams and use cases.
  • Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial and analytical judgement, with the ability to connect product metrics to tangible outcomes and business performance
  • The ability to bring people together and lead a cross-functional team through discovery, delivery, adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Curiosity about emerging data, AI/ML and platform practices, and the judgement to apply them where they add value.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts, capability boundaries, risks and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, security, responsible AI and model-risk concepts and policies is well regarded.
