Common Platforms builds the foundations every other product team depends on. Access, identity management, authentication and notifications are the foundation every Greenlight experience runs on, they decide who gets into the door, and whether the right person hears from us at the right moment. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Common Platforms to own this layer end-to-end: the Identity and access management, the permissions that govern what parents and kids can each do, and the multi-channel notification platform that reaches millions of families every day.
This is a high-leverage, high-trust role at the center of Greenlight's platform organization. Your customers are both the families using our products who should never have to think about any of this and the product teams building on top of you, who ship faster when your systems are reliable. You'll work cross-functionally across teams at Greenlight (US & India) , and you'll have direct line-of-sight to executive leadership on the decisions that shape customer trust and platform reliability. The right person thinks in systems, and is comfortable building core platform products.
This role reports to the Director of Product and sits within the Common Platforms team.
Your day-to-day:
- Working closely with Engineering and design to ensure building great product.
- Work closely with key stakeholders for new requirements and ensure to keep teams updated on ongoing items
- Owning the key metrics for your product and ensuring the reliability of the product.
- Embedded in a dedicated cross-functional pod with Engineering and Design, with close partnerships across Security, Risk and Compliance, Legal, Data, Customer Support, and the consumer product teams who depend on your platform.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- 6+ years in product management, with at least 2 years building platform products
- Comfortable to build long term strategy for your product vertical and drive the key projects independently end to end.
- Strong cross-functional instincts - you’ve navigated complex stakeholder environments including Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Payments, and know how to move fast within constraints.
- Executive presence: you communicate up and across clearly, adapt your message to your audience, and don’t wait to be asked for updates.
- Ownership mentality - you proactively identify gaps, propose solutions, and follow through. You don’t need a playbook to get started.
- Urgency and scrappiness: experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments where speed matters and you figure things out yourself.
Good to have:
- Fintech experience or a familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), authentication standards
Skills Required
- 6+ years of product management experience
- At least 2 years of experience building platform products
- Ability to build long-term product strategy and independently drive projects end to end
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments involving Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Payments
- Strong executive presence and cross-functional communication skills
- Ownership mentality with the ability to proactively identify gaps and propose solutions
