Sr. Product Manager

At Billee, we’re building the next generation of utility billing. Our goal is simple: make a complex, manual, and fragmented process feel seamless, transparent, and intelligent.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to work directly with the Head of Product to define, own, and scale core parts of the platform and client portal. This role is ideal for a Product Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, with increasing ownership across both execution and product direction.

Who We Are

Billee Technologies Inc. is a Dallas-based SaaS startup revolutionizing utility billing for multifamily apartment communities. Our intuitive, cloud-based platform streamlines operations, eliminates inefficiencies, and increases NOI for property owners and operators.

At Billee, we are more than just a technology company. We are a team of innovators and problem solvers. Led by seasoned product and technology practitioners, we challenge traditional providers by offering smarter, more efficient solutions for this overlooked pocket in multifamily proptech.

Our culture is the foundation of our success. We believe in empowering and developing our people, ensuring they thrive both professionally and personally. Our core values define how we work and what we stand for:

  • Win Together – We believe in collaboration and collective success
  • Lead with Integrity – We operate with transparency and accountability
  • Relentless Determination – We tackle challenges with persistence and decisive action
  • Bold Voices – We foster open dialogue where every perspective matters
  • Stay Curious – We are always learning, improving, and evolving

The Role

This is a high-ownership product role where you’ll drive initiatives end-to-end across both execution and product direction.

You’ll operate across discovery and delivery, partnering closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to move complex, ambiguous problems forward. Much of the work will not come fully defined. You’ll be expected to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to areas that need it.

Where You’ll Sit

This role is part of the Product team, reporting to the Head of Product. You’ll work closely with Engineering on a daily basis and act as a central partner across design, operations, and customer-facing teams.

You’ll own initiatives from problem definition through delivery, with increasing responsibility in shaping priorities and direction.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Owning and driving product initiatives across the Billee platform and client portal
  • Leading work from early discovery through launch and iteration
  • Breaking down complex billing and operational workflows into clear, shippable increments
  • Partnering with engineering to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well understood
  • Working with design to create intuitive experiences for data-heavy and workflow-driven products
  • Collaborating with internal teams (billing ops, accounting, implementations) to deeply understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Engaging with customers to validate problems, test solutions, and refine product direction
  • Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities, and proactively driving solutions forward
  • Contributing to product direction within your areas of ownership, not just executing against defined requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS or workflow-heavy products
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can clearly articulate product decisions, requirements, and tradeoffs
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in an agile, iterative environment
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making decisions without perfect information
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex systems and workflows
  • Familiarity with product tools such as Linear, Notion, and FigJam
  • Strong ownership mindset. You take responsibility for outcomes and proactively move work forward

Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in PropTech, FinTech, or utility billing platforms
  • Experience building or working on products involving billing, payments, invoicing, or financial workflows
  • Familiarity with property management or utility billing systems
  • Experience working on internal tools or operational systems used by business teams
  • Exposure to data-heavy products, reporting, or business intelligence features
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-influenced environments (e.g., utilities, payments, real estate)
  • Experience translating complex business rules and edge cases into clear product workflows
  • Experience gathering and synthesizing customer feedback into product direction
  • Experience conducting user testing or customer discovery interviews
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive them to resolution
  • You ask thoughtful questions and go beyond surface-level understanding
  • You balance speed with strong judgment and attention to detail
  • You proactively identify issues and opportunities rather than waiting for direction
  • You build trust across teams and become a reliable partner to engineering and stakeholders

What You’ll Learn / Grow Into
  • Ownership of high-impact product areas with direct influence on company outcomes
  • Deep experience building products that sit at the intersection of data, workflows, and financial systems
  • Close partnership with product leadership on strategy, roadmap, and scaling the product organization
  • Opportunity to grow into a lead or group product role as the team expands

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $150,000 to $165,000
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Opportunity for earned equity

Why Billee
  • You’ll have real ownership and influence over the product direction
  • You’ll work on meaningful, complex problems with real-world impact
  • Tight collaboration across product, design, and engineering
  • Opportunity to grow as the company and product organization scale

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS or workflow-heavy products

  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in an agile, iterative environment
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and making decisions without perfect information
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex systems and workflows
