The Senior Product Manager is an integral part of the FCT’s business and will support the strategic vision for the next phase of growth in one of FCT’s core products. You have accountability to build plans and roadmaps, secure buy-in against priorities, and work within an empowered product team alongside technology and business partners to translate strategy into action, and action into results that add value to our customers. This team leverages OKRs to align focus quarterly, against FCT’s overall business strategies and financial objectives. 

The Senior Product Manager will build deep product expertise and will become the voice of customer when it comes to understanding how we continually adapt and enhance the value our products delivery in an ever changing and dynamic real estate environment. The role will be accountable for the specific product domains / feature sets / customer segments / experiences, and the incumbent will become the internal expert related to all parts of that journey.

Leveraging enabling technology is a quintessential ingredient to how we continue to think differently about the end-to-end real estate transaction and deliver first to market / first to scale innovative experiences. We are looking for a candidate that has hands-on experience in building enterprise / B2B software with a preference to enterprise software products in the financial services, insurance, or adjacent verticals. The most suitable candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate capabilities in this area beyond theory and point to real implementations and product outcomes.


In supporting FCT’s brand promise to amaze our customers with transformational and secure solutions, the incumbent will work within FCT’s strong operating and risk culture, while collaborating with sales & marketing, operations, technology, data, legal, and risk partners to formulate appropriate test & learn strategies to optimize delivery and ultimately improve product process and best practices within the team.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

Reporting to the VP, Strategy, Data, and Product Development, the key responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager will be to:

  • Own and drive significant portions of our transformation product roadmap by:

    • Prioritizing features and developing roadmaps based on a variety of sources/inputs including but not limited to market opportunities/threats, discovery/user research, customer feedback, field asks, internal usage, and blue-sky thinking that track back to quarterly OKRs

    • Work closely with engineering, product marketing, and product design teams to deliver category defining experiences that deliver upon FCT’s brand promise

    • Lead discovery and definition of core features to deliver business outcomes against transformation vision, focused on engaging and retaining users that rely on FCT as a critical part of their workflow

  • Own the ‘product’ role and dig in when required by creating user stories, testing and validating new features, and being the product champion promoting new functionality to internal and external customers.

  • Become an expert on our customer journey, leveraging internal data, user research, and discovery to become the voice of our customer internally, managing customer feedback captured through various channels

  • Build a deep understanding of how enabling technology can influence and impact the FCT customer experience.

    • Based on your understanding determine how to apply enabling technology to identify opportunities and/or enhance FCT’s offerings specific to customer segment

    • Work in collaboration with technical partners to deliver the appropriate solution architecture for enabling technology within FCT

  • Leverage internal and third-party data to deliver value-added solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

  • Instrument, measure, and report on the impact of functionality/features released against the overall customer experience and target outcomes that drive retention and growth in our business lines

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and other related enabling technologies including how competitors or competitive-adjacent companies are leveraging these technologies.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 6+ years' experience in software (enterprise) product management; come ready to demonstrate the impact you and your teams have delivered

    • Proven experience as a product manager or similar technical role, ideally in insurance or financial services context is an asset

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Can demonstrate a level of technical knowledge (i.e. ability to understand software development methodologies, basic system architectures, APIs, and databases to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and make informed decisions about product feasibility and technical tradeoffs)

  • A keen eye for great digital experiences, with an ever evolving ‘product sense’ and great product taste.

  • Ability to build a strong understanding of enabling technology and their applications in a business context and continually evolve this knowledge.

  • Ability to drive projects from concept to completion with high agency and ability to work independently to achieve desired business outcomes

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Naturally curious with an ability to formulate questions at varying depths to uncover needs, hunt for misalignment, and grow an understanding of our business.

  • Driven by results, with high achievement mindset, and ability to adapt and thrive within a velocity focused environment where business needs can change rapidly

  • Product is your passion. You’ll be able to showcase that as part of the interview process in a variety of ways.
