ABOUT THE ROLE


We are looking for a strong and experienced Product Manager to join our team. As a SeniorProduct manager - Technical for our core platform and line management capabilities, you will shape Bright Machines' vision on bringing our differentiating technology to robotics assembly.


We are looking for someone who can be a product leader and work with our systems, robotics, core and line software engineering teams to manage our core platform, look around corners for new technologies and shape our software to be deeply integrated with our automation hardware.


If you have worked on building embedded systems, hardware/software interactions, mechatronics applications specifically in the compute/GPU server industries - we would love to talk to you! This is a cross-functional role, and the Product Manager is expected to work closely with different teams including Sales, Marketing, and Field Services.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Manage the Bright Machines core platform and studio applications
  • Define the future vision for both the Bright Machines platform as well as line management services
  • Define the product roadmap and lead discussions with both internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Manage the entire requirements process: Gather and prioritize requirements, write detailed requirements documents, and work with the internal engineering teams to improve current generation as well as define next generation products
  • Manage product launches and work hand in hand with our GTM teams
  • Work with program and delivery teams to understand market needs and define future products
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of quality products on time and according to specifications
  • Evaluate new applications, use cases, proofs-of-concept and prioritize product roadmap in a data-driven manner
  • Ensure successful adoption of functionality at customer deployments
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the sales and field operations teams
  • Travel up to 30% of the time is required

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE

  • At least 5 years of Embedded systems, Robotics and/or Mechatronics product development experience ideally in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in hardware and software product lifecycles, specifically computer server design processes and NTI/NPI processes
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in industrial software product management
  • Ability to understand complex hardware systems and industrial robotics
  • Working in a matrix environment: collaboration with R&D, systems engineering and field support
  • System view, customer-centric
  • Bachelor of Science (.) in Electrical, Computer Science or Mechatronics Engineering degree

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD

  • Strong Experience in developing electro-mechanical systems & products
  • Strong Experience in the enterprise and datacenter server industries
  • Strong Experience in building manufacturing automation solutions
  • Working level understanding in Robotics
  • Understanding of factory KPIs and practical experience driving their improvement
  • Understanding of manufacturing logistics
