What you will do
Special objects are the last frontier of E-commerce. We need you to conquer this last frontier. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Personalisation and Machine Learning strategy across ranking and search domains, ensuring a highly tailored and engaging user experience. You’ll be responsible for the improved relevance of recommended lots across the entire Buyer Journey. Doing this while owning holistic cross-team and cross-vertical initiatives that aim to deliver the most engaged and personalised experience for Catawiki buyers. You will collaborate closely with the Search & Ranking team, including engineering, design, marketing, and data science, to deliver innovative personalization features that delight users.
- Work with the Search & Ranking team to articulate the Search, Ranking & Personalization vision and set the roadmap
- Understand the strategy of Catawiki and work with internal teams across the organisation to translate this into the most impactful personalization outcomes
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to make sure that the team is meeting the needs of the company’s long and short term goals.
- Drive experimentation agenda on our recommendation/ML models, including working with ML engineers to measure quality and assess the potential impact of new machine learning models on customers’ needs.
- Lead the integration of personalization features across our user experience, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap.
- Own metrics on models and personalization performance and collaborate with teams to iterate and optimise features based on feedback and data insights.
- Collaborate with design to ensure a user-centric approach to personalization, emphasising seamless integration and a delightful user experience.
- You will be joining our Demand vertical where we focus on welcoming users to Catawiki, give them a great onboarding experience, help them find the objects they love and turn them into happy winners.
Who you are
- You have at least 5 years of product management experience and have had demonstrated success defining product roadmaps specifically for personalization, product recommendations, search or other relevant ML-centric products
- Are outcome-driven with a bias towards action, demonstrating the ability to set and achieve ambitious goals.
- Possess a sense of urgency and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering results within tight timelines.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed and strategic choices while considering both short-term and long-term implications.
- Have excellent storytelling abilities, capable of articulating a compelling product vision and strategy to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data, contributing to data-informed decision-making.
- Possesses extensive experience in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests and other experimentation methodologies specific to Machine Learning projects. Capable of leveraging data-driven insights to refine and enhance personalization algorithms, ensuring continuous improvement in user engagement and product performance.
- Demonstrated a strong technical understanding of machine learning concepts and applications, from the statistical and mathematical foundations to the practical aspects of turning models into product features.
- Must be skilled in working alongside machine learning engineers to develop and integrate user-focused personalization features into a product ecosystem, ensuring they are optimized and effectively implemented.
- Possess strong business acumen, with the ability to align product strategies with broader business objectives, identify opportunities for revenue growth, and balance user-centric design with commercial priorities to drive impactful results.

Our Offices and Way of Working
Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
