About the Team
The Roku TV Platform and Core Technology Product Management team is responsible for the hardware reference designs we provide to ODM partners, the roadmap for hardware and software features that power our core technologies, and the roadmap for advanced TV technologies that will propel future business growth. The team’s objective is to ensure Roku's platforms are differentiated from the competition in technology, features, performance, cost, and time to market.
About the Role
As the Senior Product Manager for Picture and Audio Technology, you will be accountable for defining and executing on a roadmap of advanced algorithms + AI technologies which help drive adoption of Roku’s Platform and deliver marketable experiences for Roku customers. As a platform role, your roadmaps will span the needs of both Roku’s OBM/ODM partners and end users. This requires features + tooling which:
- Help factories execute Roku programs with higher quality and faster time to market
- Make Roku’s platform stickier for partner brands
- Offer marketable and differentiated improvements to end users

What you’ll be doing
- Own the roadmap for audio + picture quality technologies, ensuring alignment to Roku business goals, strategy, and OEM/OBM objectives.
- Conceive and execute on new features, tools, and HW/SW product concepts. Write specs, prototype, drive consumer research, and help craft go-to-market.
- Engage with advanced development teams on long range planning to inform future silicon and guide industry standards in support of your roadmap
- Cultivate executive relationships with key partners. Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies that will shape the future of the TV industry
- Leverage Roku’s 80M+ install base to train, test, and apply generative AI in ways that enhance and personalize end user picture + audio experience.
- Work across multiple development teams within Roku to unify product narratives and align priorities, schedules, and resourcing.
- Understand Roku’s business and successfully apply that knowledge to extend our competitive advantage
- Track program risks, help drive mitigations, and represent status to the broader leadership team.

- Experience:
- 7+ years in a technical product management role working on high volume consumer electronics
- Experience leading the delivery of multiple cross-functional and multi-workstream programs (hardware and/or software)
- Experience shipping compelling and delightful user experiences that demonstrate a keen understanding for great design and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of foundational picture and audio KPIs and core technology
- Experience leading R&D efforts and bringing new hardware and software technologies to market
- Strong network within the TV industry a plus
- Willing and able to travel to USA, China, EU ; ~10%
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin
- BS or equivalent. MS/MBA preferred
