Job Summary:
The Senior Product Manager/Owner — Regulatory Reporting is responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of Clearwater's regulatory reporting solutions, working as an embedded product partner within the Noida engineering organisation. This role oversees the translation of EMEA and APAC regulatory and client requirements into well-defined, deliverable product specifications, while collaborating closely with the EMEA Product Manager based in London.
The Senior Product Manager/Owner is tasked with maintaining the product roadmap for regulatory reporting capabilities, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory frameworks, and business goals. To enable organic growth, the role collaborates extensively with internal stakeholders, clients, and subject matter experts to identify and shape new product capability requirements. They work closely with engineering teams in Noida to ensure the successful creation, testing, and rollout of these capabilities to the market, while actively promoting adoption across Clearwater's growing client base.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day product partner for Noida-based engineering squads working on regulatory reporting features.
- Owns the regulatory reporting product area within the Clearwater system, in partnership with the EMEA Product Manager.
- Prioritises and manages the backlog for the regulatory reporting product.
- Defines requirements for feature development, with occasional support from the Senior PM.
- Writes and maintains high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications that enable engineering teams to build with confidence.
- Collaborates with the engineering team on the design and building of features.
- Supports the development of the product roadmap for regulatory reporting.
- Communicates regularly with stakeholders about the product roadmap and upon release of new functionality.
- Conducts discovery sessions with clients, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to surface and validate requirements.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, BaFin, HK RBC).
- Coordinates user acceptance testing (UAT) and supports client onboarding for new regulatory reporting capabilities.
- Monitors product usage, stability, and client feedback, and surfaces insights to the product team.
- Provides expertise and support to the Sales and Client Services teams on regulatory reporting capabilities.
- Prepares and presents sprint reviews, release notes, and product updates to internal stakeholders.
- Contributes to the creation of enablement materials — release guides, training decks, and internal documentation — for sales, client services, and operations teams.
- Triages and prioritises inbound bugs, change requests, and technical debt items in coordination with the PM and engineering leads.
- Serves as the connective tissue between the London-based EMEA product team and the Noida engineering organisation, ensuring clear communication across time zones.
- Participates in initiatives aimed at promoting employee retention or engagement within the product organisation.
- Teaches and guides other teams towards effective product processes and best practices.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in product management or business analysis within a financial services, fintech, or enterprise SaaS environment.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Investment Management, Regulatory Reporting, Operations, or Accounting.
- Proven ability to write clear, structured product requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Experience working with one or more regulatory frameworks, such as Solvency II, BaFin, HK RBC, etc.
- Experience working in or alongside a globally distributed product and engineering team.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Aha!
- Prior experience in insurance, asset management, pension, or institutional investment domains.
- Experience working directly with clients, including conducting discovery sessions and gathering requirements.
- Experience writing business requirements for a financial technology product or service.
- Prior experience preparing and delivering presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with internal CWAN tooling (preferred).
