We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the future of document creation, editing, review, and collaboration. A good candidate brings proven product management experience working with enterprise customers, company-wide stakeholders, and multidisciplinary technical teams across time zones. They identify customer pain points, translate them into product strategy and plans, bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, and apply a user-experience perspective to product decisions.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers and partners to understand their industries, workflows, and needs through direct engagement, research, community feedback, support signals, and product telemetry. Validate Word's current and emerging solutions, support adoption, and translate insights into future product improvements.
- Set the product direction for assigned Word experiences, aligning customer value with Microsoft's broader goals. Define objectives, key results, and success metrics, and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to guide tradeoffs from concept through launch and iteration.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, research, data science, and other product teams to deliver features while balancing customer value, quality, scope, risk and readiness across endpoints.
- Develop working fluency in complex technical systems and architecture to make informed product decisions, unblock execution, and translate engineering complexity into clear customer value.
- Drive awareness and adoption by partnering with marketing, field, support, and community teams to develop launch and engagement plans and communicate product value to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and participating actively in the Word product community in Serbia and globally.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND proven experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including engineering and design, to deliver complex products with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Experience using customer research, product data, and business context to identify and prioritize opportunities, define product strategy, and translate decisions into clear requirements for design and engineering.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, including the ability to explain complex issues, decisions, and solutions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building productivity, collaboration, authoring, enterprise or platform products.
- Experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- Technical background or experience partnering with engineering on complex software architecture, services, client applications, or developer platforms, with the ability to assess technical tradeoffs and translate them into product decisions.
