The Role

As Senior Product Manager, KYC (Know your customer) and AML/CFT (AML: Anti-Money laundering, Counter the Financing of Terrorism), you will own the end-to-end design and development of customer risk management. From reimagining onboarding flows and risk scoring to transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting, you'll lead a high-performing squad building our multi-jurisdictional KYC infrastructure from Onboarding, Monitoring, off-boarding and regulatory reporting. Working closely with Spendesk Financial Services (SFS) and external banking partners, you'll ensure our compliance infrastructure meets evolving regulatory requirements while supporting rapid business growth. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, Payments, you will drive compliance scalability across markets while contributing to Spendesk's regulatory strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the KYC/AML product vision and strategy with Spendesk Financial Services (SFS), ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive innovation in customer due diligence and risk monitoring, balancing user experience, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
  • Own the product roadmap, setting clear and actionable goals that drive measurable impact while ensuring close alignment with SFS governance and operational efficiency objectives.
  • Proactively identify, test, and implement enhancements to ensure they remain effective, scalable, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimise cost, risk detection, reduce false positives, and monitor key compliance metrics.
  • Embed Compliance by design, ensuring Spendesk Financial Services meets AML/CFT regulations.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance and Operations teams to implement and maintain effective customer risk assessment frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in KYC onboarding conversion rates while maintaining robust risk controls.
  • Lead vendor selection and integration strategy for identity verification providers, screening databases, and monitoring tools.
  • Optimise cost efficiency across verification methods while maintaining high compliance standards.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with 3+ years specifically in KYC/AML infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of compliance frameworks, identity verification technologies, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling compliance products in a regulated environment across multiple markets.
  • Solid understanding of AI Models, its applications, experience or interest on applying AI in product.
  • Strong expertise in financial crime prevention, risk scoring methodologies, customer due diligence processes, financial crime typologies, mitigation strategies, FATCA/CRS.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Experience with API-first architectures and compliance technology integration.
  • Familiarity with data protection standards (GDPR) and emerging compliance technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in RegTech.
  • Communication: Fluent in English. French is a plus.
