Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

The HR Technology team is responsible for optimizing and modernizing the systems and tools that support HR functions. These functions include recruitment, learning, performance, operations and talent data management. In HR Tech, we aim to improve the overall employee experience, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, using modern and emerging technologies.
What will you do?

Lead agile labs and collaborate with business partners to gather and document requirements, prioritize development items, and groom backlog

Utilize product management frameworks to manage products through the entirety of their lifecycle, from concept through to production support handover and BAU

Exercise thought leadership in GenAI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing to support business partners in implementing these technologies to solve business challenges

Partner closely with both Business and IT stakeholders to analyze and resolve inter-dependencies within projects, and define deliverables

Effectively Identify and manage risks through risk assessment, to ensure all products and deliverables adhere to RBC’s policies and security directives

Creatively communicate requirements, timelines, project plans, and project status to several different audiences, through both written and verbal communications

Work with vendors and third parties, facilitate supplier onboarding activities, maintain positive relationships, and support business partners in choosing the right vendors

Collaborate with IT Project and Program managers to ensure deliverables are within budget, and to communicate project status and escalate issues and risks to leadership
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
-
5+ years experience in leading and executing strategic projects, initiatives, or transformational programs

Strong analytical, communication, presentation and facilitation skills

Experience learning and implementing projects which utilize emerging technologies: cloud, cybersecurity, GenAI, ML, Internet of Things

Proven experience in a Product or Project management role, managing project strategies, deliverables and timelines

Proven ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity, and demonstrated capability to lead/manage cross-functional partnerships

Growth mindset, willingness to be constantly learning new skills, listening to understand
Nice-to-have

GenAI knowledge or experience working with GenAI projects

Prior technical experience or education – software development, coding

People Management experience

Previous experiences working with HR products and processes
