Senior Product Manager
Cloud Infrastructure Products
About the role
Virtuozzo is looking for a hands-on Product Manager to help define, build, and improve cloud infrastructure products used by service providers, hosting companies, MSPs, and technical customers.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys doing the product work directly: customer discovery, requirements, prioritization, roadmap trade-offs, technical discussions, release planning, and follow-through with engineering and customer-facing teams.
This is not a coaching, advisory, or high-level strategy-only role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, go deep into the product and market, and personally drive work from problem discovery to shipped outcomes.
What you will do
- Own product discovery with cloud service providers, MSPs, hosting companies, internal teams, and technical users.
- Translate customer problems and market requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and roadmap priorities.
- Work directly with engineering to clarify scope, trade-offs, dependencies, and delivery plans.
- Prioritize roadmap items based on customer impact, technical feasibility, business value, and product strategy.
- Analyze competitors and market trends in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cloud management, Kubernetes, storage, automation, and related areas.
- Support product positioning, packaging, launch planning, and enablement for sales, marketing, support, and customer success.
- Own follow-through after release: adoption, feedback, issues, improvements, and measurable product outcomes.
- Keep product documentation, roadmap context, and decision rationale clear and up to date.
What we are looking for
- Product management experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, hosting, MSP/CSP products, DevOps/platform tools, Kubernetes, storage, networking, automation, or related technical products.
- Strong hands-on ownership mindset: you are comfortable writing requirements, talking to customers, working with engineers, analyzing feedback, and driving execution yourself.
- Ability to understand technical infrastructure products and discuss trade-offs with engineering and technical customers.
- Experience prioritizing roadmaps and making clear product decisions when there are competing customer, business, and technical needs.
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort using data, customer feedback, and market evidence to support product decisions.
- Clear written communication: you can document product problems, requirements, decisions, and release context in a way engineering and business teams can use.
- Ability to work independently in a distributed remote environment.
Strong pluses
- Experience with service provider, hosting, MSP, CSP, telco, or cloud infrastructure markets.
- Experience with virtualization, KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes, software-defined storage, backup, disaster recovery, automation, billing, provisioning, or cloud management platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure software pricing, packaging, licensing, or usage-based/subscription models.
- Previous engineering, solution architecture, technical support, QA, DevOps, or infrastructure operations background.
- If you have experience with on-prem software delivery with long development cycles, then you might be an ideal candidate.
This role is probably not a fit if
- Your experience is mainly generic B2B SaaS, marketing, coaching, consulting, or startup mentoring without direct product ownership.
- You prefer to guide teams at a high level rather than personally doing discovery, writing requirements, prioritizing work, and following delivery details.
- You have not worked with technical products, engineering teams, or infrastructure-related customers.
- You are looking for a people-management or product leadership role rather than an individual contributor product role.
What success looks like
- You quickly understand Virtuozzo’s products, customers, and technical environment.
- You build trust with engineering and customer-facing teams by being clear, practical, and prepared.
- You turn ambiguous customer and market needs into well-prioritized product work.
- You help ship improvements that are valuable to service providers, MSPs, hosting companies, and technical users.
- You take ownership from discovery through delivery and iteration.
Skills Required
- Product management experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, hosting, MSP/CSP products, DevOps/platform tools, Kubernetes, storage, networking, or automation
- Strong hands-on ownership: write requirements, talk to customers, work with engineers, analyze feedback, and drive execution
- Ability to understand technical infrastructure products and discuss trade-offs with engineering and technical customers
- Experience prioritizing roadmaps and making clear product decisions balancing customer, business, and technical needs
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort using data, customer feedback, and market evidence to support product decisions
- Clear written communication to document problems, requirements, decisions, and release context
- Ability to work independently in a distributed remote environment
- Experience with service provider, hosting, MSP, CSP, telco, or cloud infrastructure markets
- Experience with KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes, software-defined storage, backup, disaster recovery, automation, billing, provisioning, or cloud management platforms
- Experience with infrastructure software pricing, packaging, licensing, or usage-based/subscription models
- Previous engineering, solution architecture, technical support, QA, DevOps, or infrastructure operations background
- Experience with on-prem software delivery with long development cycles
