About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a strategic data transformation programme within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering data and reporting initiatives by bridging business, data, and technology teams. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, expertise in finance data, and the ability to drive requirements and solution definition in complex regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and data requirements for finance and regulatory reporting initiatives.

  • Lead discovery and definition activities, working independently with business and technology stakeholders.

  • Analyse and document data lineage, data definitions, data mappings, ingestion processes, and transformation requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into data-focused and architecture-aligned solutions.

  • Produce high-quality project artefacts, including discovery documents, business requirements, impact assessments, and change documentation.

  • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and reporting teams to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology functions, facilitating workshops and driving alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within the financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of finance data and statistical or regulatory reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience working on enterprise data transformation or data integration programmes.

  • Hands-on experience analysing data lineage, data models, data ingestion, and transformation processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical data solutions.

  • Experience working independently, driving discovery and requirements definition with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as CIB Data Platform, iHub, or comparable data platforms.

  • Experience supporting data ingestion, integration, or reporting transformation initiatives.

  • Knowledge of Private Banking or Corporate & Investment Banking data domains.

Nice to Have
  • Previous experience with IWBP – Private Banking VS and/or CIB MSS VS, including related products, processes, and databases.

  • Familiarity with large-scale banking data architecture and regulatory reporting environments.
