Build for the real world.
The Role

Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

Samsara’s mission is to increase the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operations that power the global economy. Our customers span industries from transportation and logistics to government and field services. Within this mission, our Fleet Security team builds essential tools that not only protect assets but can also help prevent theft, fraud, kidnappings, and other high-risk incidents. The solutions you create won’t just optimize operations — they have the potential to save lives and protect people at their most vulnerable moments.
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead innovation in security event detection and anomaly response. You’ll define how customers detect, investigate, and act on suspicious fleet activity, building solutions that address some of the toughest real-world challenges our customers face.
By leveraging AI, large language models (LLMs), and advanced anomaly detection techniques, you’ll help fleets:
  • Spot risks before they escalate into major incidents.
  • Respond to potential kidnappings, hijackings, or unauthorized use with speed and confidence.
  • Turn overwhelming streams of security data into actionable insights that can protect drivers, passengers, and communities.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
  • Shape and execute a roadmap for security events, anomaly detection, and incident management, working across engineering, design, and data science.
  • Deliver scalable, global solutions rooted in customer needs but extensible across industries.
  • Work hand-in-hand with customers to ensure our tools solve their most pressing, life-critical security problems.
  • Collaborate across Samsara’s ecosystem to integrate security seamlessly into fleet operations worldwide.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Have 4+ years of product experience with a track record of shipping impactful features.
  • Enjoy solving hard problems for real-world users.
  • Are data-driven, structured in your thinking, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Want to own products end-to-end - from customer insights to go-to-market.
  • Spanish speaking.

An ideal candidate also:

  • Thrives on solving complex problems where human safety, AI innovation, and product design intersect.
  • Is motivated by impact — knowing the solutions you deliver could prevent tragedies, protect drivers, and keep communities safer.
  • Enjoys working closely with customers to uncover deep insights and build products that directly address their hardest challenges.
  • Can balance cutting-edge innovation with pragmatic product design that scales globally.
If you’re excited to define how AI and LLMs transform fleet security — and to build products that protect people when it matters most — this role is for you.
