We are looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Mobility team to help pioneer the transition to electric transportation in Kenya and beyond.

This role offers the opportunity to drive significant customer and business impact through the product implementation of and iteration on key customer experiences, critical engineering systems, internal tooling, and business processes. You'll work with talented cross-functional teams including engineers, analytics engineers, and commercial stakeholders across multiple countries.

We are looking for a more technical and analytics focused PM for this role — if you enjoy creating API-first products and/or you have a strong understanding of analytics products, you might be a good fit!

In this role, you would be responsible for:
  • Owning the software and data product and strategic direction and evolution of critical engineering systems, business processes, and business intelligence in M-KOPA’s Electric Vehicle financing business unit

  • Working with engineers to drive continuous improvement in our product’s capabilities to deliver customer and business value

  • Partnering with analytics engineers to understand internal reporting and data visualization needs within the eMobility domain.

  • Getting feedback directly from customers and customer care teams to understand customer pain points and drive an excellent customer experience and proposition

  • Analyzing data to understand business performance and identify opportunities for future products and improvements

This is primarily a Hybrid role based in Nairobi, Kenya, with moderate work travel expected. Therefore an ideal candidate should either be based in Kenya or be willing to relocate if/once successful.

Your application should demonstrate:
  • 4+ years of product management experience

  • Strong technical and/or analytical skills, including the ability to conduct your own complex data analysis

  • Proven ability in solving technical and/or analytical problems

  • Ability to work with diverse, distributed teams across multiple countries

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Experience working on a “backend” or API-first product

  • Experience working on a B2C product

  • Experience with IoT products and remote device control best practices

  • Experience with SaaS CRM to custom software integrations

  • Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership

  • Experience in data-driven decision making and strategy development
