This role connects AMCS customer and market needs with Dematic’s global Case & Tote Storage strategy. The Senior Product Manager will translate product strategy into executable roadmaps, lead cross-functional development and commercialization activities, and ensure assigned products can be successfully sold, delivered, supported, and improved throughout their lifecycle.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial judgment, technical understanding, and hands-on execution leadership. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $111,000-$162,800 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Product Execution and Lifecycle Management
- · Develop and own execution-focused product roadmaps, schedules, milestones, and delivery plans for assigned product lines.
- · Drive the tollgate process from TG00 through TG90, including review readiness, risk closure, decision documentation, cycle-time management, and on-time delivery.
- · Manage assigned products across new product introduction, beta deployment, commercialization, sustaining, modernization, and sunset activities.
- · Maintain product requirements, lifecycle status, configuration expectations, and commercialization-readiness evidence.
- · Prioritize development and sustaining activities based on customer impact, commercial value, execution risk, and strategic alignment.
- · Lead the cross-functional product team when a dedicated project manager is not assigned and establish an effective cadence for status, risks, dependencies, escalations, and decisions.
Commercial and Business Ownership
- · Maintain the integrity of product business cases and manage development activity within approved budgets and investment assumptions.
- · Monitor and communicate product-line performance, including order intake, revenue, margin, win/loss/drop insights, investment, and major commercial risks.
- · Support market-based pricing, value proposition development, sales enablement, and regional opportunity reviews.
- · Provide product-level inputs to STRAP, AOP, budget prioritization, and lifecycle planning.
AMCS Regional Accountability
- · Serve as the primary Case & Tote Storage Product Management partner for AMCS sales, solution development, project execution, customer service, manufacturing, procurement, and regional leadership.
- · Own AMCS readiness and adoption of globally developed products, including regional requirements, product gaps, launch dependencies, and execution constraints.
- · Ensure AMCS priorities are represented in global product-development decisions while minimizing unnecessary regional product variations.
- · Support AMCS customer opportunities, beta deployments, modernization requirements, and significant field issues.
- · Capture customer and project feedback and translate it into prioritized product improvements.
- · Coordinate closely with global Product Management, R&D, and sustaining teams.
Product Development and Commercialization
- · Partner with R&D and engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, manage risks, and support timely product development.
- · Coordinate activities across Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Solution Development, Project Execution, Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Publications, Training, and external partners.
- · Own and maintain applicable product tools and artifacts, including GPC, SRRs, product requirements, roadmap content, and Solution Delivery documentation.
- · Ensure documentation, training, configuration information, application guidance, and sales-enablement materials are available for commercial release.
- · Partner with Marketing and Communications on product launches, customer materials, internal communications, demonstrations, and trade-show support.
- · Ensure product commitments can be consistently delivered, commissioned, serviced, and supported.
Customer and Market Engagement
- · Develop a practical understanding of AMCS customer requirements, market trends, competitor offerings, and project-execution challenges.
- · Engage customers and customer-facing teams to collect feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement.
- · Act as a customer advocate while balancing standardization, technical feasibility, lifecycle cost, and business-case integrity.
- · Support sales and solution-development teams in determining product fit, identifying gaps, and shaping repeatable solutions.
- · Use market data, competitive insights, customer feedback, and project experience to inform roadmap and investment decisions.
Portfolio Focus
- · Dematic Multishuttle and its associated shuttle, lift, racking, conveyor, extraction, controls, and software elements.
- · Ultra-high-density storage offerings, including AutoStore product and integration capabilities.
- · Emerging and adjacent case-and-tote technologies, including future shuttle and bin-to-person capabilities where assigned.
- · Legacy products requiring sustainment, modernization, transition, or sunset planning, including Miniload where applicable.
- · Product interfaces required to deliver complete customer solutions, including workstations, controls, software, and Solution Delivery artifacts.
What We Are Looking For
- · Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or another technical field required; MBA or master’s degree in engineering preferred.
- · 8-10 years of product management or closely related product-leadership experience, including ownership of complex technical products.
- · At least 3 years of experience in material handling, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or supply-chain technology.
- · Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional development, commercialization, or lifecycle programs.
- · Experience delivering products through a formal development or tollgate process.
- · Strong project-management capability; five or more years of direct project-management experience or PMP certification is preferred.
- · Strong commercial and strategic-business acumen, including experience with business cases, budgets, revenue, margin, pricing, and portfolio trade-offs.
- · Solid technical foundation with the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software topics.
- · Excellent communication, collaboration, prioritization, and leadership skills in a global, cross-functional organization.
- · Experience with shuttle, goods-to-person, or ultra-high-density storage technologies is strongly preferred.
- · Travel up to 25%, including customer sites, AMCS facilities, trade shows, and global R&D or Product Management locations.
Location & Authorization: This is a hybrid role requiring proximity to one of our U.S. offices (Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA). Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
