New York Life Real Estate Investors (REI), a premier investment division of NYL Investors LLC, seeks a visionary Senior Product Manager to lead our AI initiatives, catalyze product innovation, and deliver high-impact business value across real estate investment workflows.
Role Overview:
In this high-impact role, you'll report directly to Head of Operations and Head of Real Estate Intelligence while working cross-functionally with investment professionals, REI technology and corporate partners. You'll spearhead the development of AI-driven tools that transform how we source, analyze, and manage investment opportunities, with a particular focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies such as LLMs, Agentic RAG systems, and human-in-the-loop frameworks. You will also work closely with the Head of Real Estate Intelligence to ensure alignment across strategic data initiatives and analytics-driven AI development.
What You'll Do:

• Define a forward-thinking AI product strategy that aligns with the broader product roadmap and investment goals.
• Translate business problems into innovative AI-powered solutions that enhance decision-making and process efficiency.
• Own the AI product roadmap and deliver end-to-end execution-from model development to market launch.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, designers, and front-end developers to ensure technical feasibility and user alignment.
• Conduct hands-on QA of AI models, analyze performance outputs, and implement refinements.
• Leverage LLMs, orchestration frameworks, and retrieval pipelines with embedded memory to deliver scalable tools that support investment decision-making.
• Serve as a bridge between technical teams and real estate practitioners to gather insights and validate solutions.
• Present AI product strategy and roadmap to stakeholders and leadership across the firm.

What You'll Bring:

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, MBA) preferred.
• 8+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years focused on AI/ML-driven initiatives.
• Proven success partnering with engineers to build, test, and improve AI models.
• Technical fluency in modern AI/ML systems, including LLM orchestration, context management protocols, and data integration pipelines.
• Experience incorporating structured human feedback and expert review into model evaluation, iteration, and refinement in high-context environments
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
• Ability to work on-site in our New York office 4 days a week

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, SageMaker), Python for application and data development, and SQL for working with structured datasets in support of AI-driven solutions.
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, particularly to connect AI models with enterprise data and workflows
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms, collaboration tools, and data visualization ecosystems, especially in contexts where AI products intersect with end-user decision-making.
• Experience designing or integrating model context protocols, including retrieval pipelines, session memory, and semantic search across vector databases, to enable context-aware AI applications that scale in high-complexity environments.
• Familiarity with SharePoint-based document workflows, including content structuring and metadata design for use in AI-driven retrieval or process automation.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate, private equity, or investment workflows.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
