Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Senior Product Manager, Technology, you will be accountable for owning the end-to-end product lifecycle of 2+ technology products that support the Ecommerce business teams in delivering a best-in-class experience for our guests at scale. Your responsibilities include steering the strategic product roadmap from discovery, design, delivery, and support. You leverage your industry leading skills and experience in Human Centered Design (HCD) to continuously enhance our guest experiences. You lead a team of product managers through mentoring and coaching and oversee budget and resource allocation, actively participating in shaping the vision and strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders and senior technology leaders. You will be responsible for a product's lifecycle from cradle to grave. You'll play a crucial role in fostering agile product management practice within the Ecommerce team.

If you were the Senior Product Manager, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Taking full ownership for end-to-end product lifecycle of 2+ products tied to an overarching experience for our guests. 
  • Owning the strategic technology product vision across 2+ related products. Aligning technology product strategy to company goals and vision.
  • Building strong partnership with the business product owners and sponsors to understand, empathize and to create a compelling vision and strategic 1-3 year roadmap for the product.
  • Developing empathy for the guest/end-user by having the ability to incorporate Human Centered Design and guest journey mapping. 
  • Performing research and analysis to understand industry trends and provide recommendations on opportunities/ innovation to the business. Escalates & recommends to portfolio steerco.
  • Defining and tracking the budget and resources for the 2+ products, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Partnering with business owner with input to the investment needs for business cases to justify product initiatives to senior company stakeholders. 
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of 2+ Technology Product Managers providing mentorship, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Leading formal vendor RFP process & procurement initiatives in collaboration with the indirect procurement team to acquire new technologies in line with policy.
  • Ensuring alignment across all initiatives within the product roadmap and cross-functionally. Ensure efficient escalation and removal of impediments.
  • Reporting of product roadmap status regularly to business partner steering committees. Escalating risks, issues, and mitigation recommendations to product or portfolio steerco for decisions.
  • Executing the product strategy for 2+ products through dedicated product management squads.
  • Supporting the technology senior leaders in achieving the product portfolio’s strategic goals.
  • Hiring and onboarding new team members in the Product Management team. Manage the career development and growth of the Product Management team.
  • Contributing to the product management guild as a key member

  • Supporting the Director, Product Management in delivering the entire Ecommerce team technology vision & strategy
  • Leading strategic planning sessions with business stakeholders to understand the long-term business objectives and technology requirements
  • Utilizing your experience and expertise to contribute to the evolution of the product management practice & processes within the Ecommerce team

Are you our next Senior Product Manager, Technology

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business or a related field
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Project or Product Manager/Owner
  • You have a 2+ years’ experience leading others
  • You have demonstrated success working in an agile methodology
  • You have a Scrum certification (CSM, CSPO, etc.)
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders. You have strong leadership and people management skills.
  • You have an exceptional ability to collaborate and contribute as a team player, and the ability to build strong, positive relationships within your team, and cross functionally.
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to explain, articulate, and document concepts, frameworks and requirements
  • You have strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities
  • You have demonstrated success in managing budgets and resources for product portfolios.
  • You have excellent time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines
  • You are familiar with web-development
  • You possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking
  • You have strong facilitation, diplomacy, and leadership skills
  • You have experience coaching and mentoring in an agile development environment
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
