You'll bring user research and data together to form clear product recommendations, manage stakeholders, and tell compelling design stories that create alignment. You'll contribute to design culture across the Customer Experience team, and you'll help shape how we design.
You'll be joining a close-knit design team, supported by Design Managers and working alongside other experienced product designers.
As a Senior Product Designer at Mable, you will use your skills to:
- Lead design end-to-end within your squad, from problem framing and research through to high-fidelity execution, owning quality at every stage.
- Collaborate with a Product Manager, a Data Lead and a small engineering team to deliver effective product solutions
- Comfortably scope and facilitate user research and usability testing, to deepen customer understanding and quickly iterate designs to better meet our customers' needs
- Deliver high-quality UX and UI using our design system, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
- Facilitate workshops that bring diverse stakeholders together to explore problems, align on direction, and build shared understanding.
- Champion a lean, human-centred approach to product development, contributing to how the CX team works and grows.
- Effectively manage differing priorities, needs and timelines
- Communicate design rationale clearly and compellingly to your squad, to senior stakeholders, and to leadership
- Build credibility and trusted relationships across the business
About you:
- 5+ years of professional work within the experience design field, with experience working in product and technology teams.
- A track record of influencing product decisions, not just delivering screens, but shaping what gets built and why, drawing on both user insight and data.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating competing agendas, building cross-functional trust, and driving alignment.
- Great design storytelling skill, where you can present and showcase your work to a leadership team
- Mastery of Figma and working familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, with genuine curiosity about how the toolset keeps evolving.
- Experience with UX strategies and trends across both web and mobile platforms.
- Comfortable in an environment where product solutions are challenged equally by engineering, data, product, and UX — and where that tension produces better outcomes.
- Experience working directly with engineers for the implementation of designs.
- Based in Australia, comfortable working with a hybrid and sometimes remote team.
- A background in health, wellbeing, or aged care.
- Given the range and complexity of needs across our platform, this kind of experience carries real weight here.
- Experience designing AI-powered product features, including conversational UX and agentic interfaces.
- Use of AI tools in your design practice, whether that's generative tools, AI-assisted prototyping, research synthesis, or something else.

What We Do
Mable is a health-tech platform where people looking for disability and aged care support connect with independent support workers in their community. As one of Australia’s fastest-growing scale-ups, we think big to spearhead change in our sector. We're passionate about inclusivity and giving choice and control back to those who need it. Mable launched in 2014 when co-founder Peter Scutt teamed up with friend and colleague Tony Charara after struggling to find the right home care solution for his parents. Today, Australia’s largest and most diverse community of independent support workers has provided over 13 million hours of support on Mable so everyone can live their kind of independence. #mykindofindependence
