Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design across our data, reporting, and insights experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys turning complex datasets into intuitive, trustworthy, and actionable product experiences.
You will partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape how customers explore, understand, and act on workforce data across dashboards, reports, and analytical workflows.
Responsibilities:- Own the end to end design of reporting, dashboards, and data exploration experiences
- Translate complex datasets and metrics into clear, usable, and visually coherent interfaces
- Partner with Product Management to define problems, validate solutions, and prioritize design work
- Design flows that support both high level insights and deep drill downs
- Create scalable interaction patterns for tables, filters, charts, and configuration states
- Balance power user flexibility with approachability and ease of use
- Validate designs through customer feedback, usability testing, and data
- Contribute to and evolve Insightful’s design system with a focus on data visualization and information hierarchy
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on B2B SaaS products
- Demonstrated experience designing data heavy products such as analytics, reporting, dashboards, or admin tools
- Demonstrated experience with user research methods in B2B environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end thinking: discovery → iteration → shipped outcomes
- Proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping)
- Strong understanding of information architecture, hierarchy, and interaction design
- Comfort working with complex edge cases, empty states, and large datasets
- Strong visual design skills with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and usability
- Ability to explain design decisions clearly using data, user needs, and business context
- Strong communication in English (spoken and written)
- Strong sense for microcopies and UX writing
- Experience collaborating closely with PMs and engineers in an iterative product development process
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative design team player who actively participates in design critiques, reviews, and pairing sessions
- Experience designing workforce analytics, productivity tools, or operational software
- Familiarity with accessibility standards for charts and data tables
- A strong awareness of and interest in emerging industry standards and AI trends
- Experience working with design systems in growing product organizations
