The role & impact
As a Senior Product Designer at Xero, you will be responsible for designing beautiful, enabling, and meaningful customer experiences that solve genuine problems. You will be a seasoned designer, working closely with Product and Technology on medium to large-scale projects within a product area of a portfolio.
The team & how they connect
This role sits in the UK Tax Design team, driving the design direction within the Tax portfolio for the UK. The team collaborates closely with both the local UK Tax team as well as the global portfolio, connecting with AU, NZ, USA, and beyond. They work entirely remotely, meeting in person for alignment and connection about four times per year, plus occasional in-person workshops.
The team is currently working on
Everything UK Tax. The design team works closely with product and we help shape the experience and direction of our key products in the country. This includes a mix of new product offerings and features, as well as refinement and updates on existing ones.
Collaboration and alignment with the Tax portfolio to keep evolving the design patterns, flows, language, and overall experience.
Connection with the global Design organisation, supporting the implementation and evolution of the design system and global initiatives.
Where and how you can work
This is a remote position, allowing you to work autonomously. The team will meet four times a year for dedicated, in-person collaboration sessions to align on strategy and build strong relationships.

You demonstrate a history of solving customer problems through design thinking and execution.
You possess excellent communication skills to present and communicate design work to a range of different audiences.
You are experienced working on large design projects.
You have a portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design outcomes, contributing to user experience and business value.
You have experience building and iterating on a product or experiences based on usage patterns, user feedback, and an evolving strategic landscape.
