Join the Cloud Readiness Design Team at Atlassian, dedicated to creating class-leading enterprise tooling for robust, compliant investments in the cloud. Our initiatives, including Atlassian Guard, Identity Access Management, Data Lifecycle Mangement, Enterprise Readiness, and much more, are critical to Atlassian's enterprise growth and customer trust.
As a Senior Product Designer, your main focus will be designing new features that enhance confidence and compliance for Atlassian admins for many of the the leading corporations in the world. As part of the larger Atlassian design community, you'll join a thriving, craft-focused design environment focused on propelling enterprise-focused design into the next era of AI-infused experiences.
Your work has the potential to span across compliance, data management, identity access, and cutting edge incubation projects. This role also has a special charter to help the larger Transformations and Platforms Design team prepare communications and presentations that will be seen across Atlassian, including for our most important customers. This role reports to the Design Manager for the Cloud Readiness Design team.
What you'll do
- Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users, from conceptual models to UI design.
- Develop prototypes and patterns for scalable, consistent interfaces.
- Collaborate with design executive leaders to create compelling representations of the very best examples of design at Atlassian.
- Champion design craft and mentor other designers.
- Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio.
- Conduct user research using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions.
- Engage with customers and sales teams for insights and feedback.
- Experience: 5+ years in product design, with a track record of designing complex or enterprise-level software. Experience in security, data management, identity access, compliance, or platform design is highly valued, as is experience in creating conference-ready decks, multimedia and presentation templates.
- AI Fluency (nice to have): Comfortable designing AI products that leverage AI, and using AI tools in the design process.
- Strategic & Systems Thinking: Expertise in design systems, information architecture, and creating frameworks that support diverse customer use cases.
- Craft Mastery: Deep understanding of interaction and visual design, accessibility, and inclusive design principles. Skilled in prototyping, user testing, and iterative design.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, able to clearly articulate design rationale and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $161,100 - $210,325
Zone B: $145,800 - $190,350
Zone C: $134,100 - $175,075
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
