We design Spotify’s consumer experience—end to end, moment to moment, across every screen, platform, and partner integration. Our mission is to make listening feel effortless, personal, and joyful for billions of users around the world. That means turning complexity into clarity across hundreds of touchpoints—from our mobile and desktop apps to the smart speakers, TVs, cars, and integrations where Spotify shows up every day. If it touches a consumer, we shape it. We bring deep insight into human behavior, design, and technology to craft experiences that feel intuitive, expressive, and unmistakably Spotify.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the Partner and Platform Experience (PPX) team. You'll tackle problems where social dynamics, device ecosystems, and technical constraints intersect. It's work that demands systems thinking, deep comfort with technical complexity, and a drive to make complex interactions feel simple and engaging.
What You'll Do
Design experiences that help listeners share moments together and move effortlessly between the devices and platforms around them.
Own complex design problems from early exploration through execution, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and product opportunities.
Create thoughtful, polished user experiences with a strong focus on interaction design, visual craft, and the details that make an experience feel intuitive.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to understand the technology behind the experience and turn complex systems into simple experiences for listeners.
Explore how experiences scale across mobile, desktop, TVs, speakers, cars, and other surfaces in the Spotify ecosystem.
Use prototyping to explore, communicate, and test ideas, including AI-assisted and code-based approaches where they help us learn faster.
Collaborate with UX Research and Insights to understand listener needs and use those insights to inform your design decisions.
Work across teams, including Core Experience, to build alignment and ensure cohesiveness within the broader Spotify experience.
Who You Are
You have experience designing sophisticated, user-facing digital products and can show complex UX and interaction challenges in your portfolio.
You have strong visual and interaction design craft and care about creating polished experiences down to the details.
You understand how technology and technical constraints shape product design, and you’re curious enough to dig deeper when the system behind an experience matters.
You have experience designing for mobile and can think beyond a single screen or device to understand how an experience scales across platforms.
You bring systems thinking to your work and can connect individual interactions to the broader product ecosystem.
You’re comfortable owning ambiguous, complex projects and can take a brief, create clarity, and move the work forward with a high degree of autonomy.
You’re a strong prototyper and are comfortable using tools such as Figma to move beyond static screens and demonstrate how an experience actually works.
You’re curious about AI-assisted design and prototyping and interested in experimenting with new ways to explore ideas with greater speed and fidelity.
You communicate your design reasoning clearly and know how to build alignment with Product, Engineering, Research, Design, and other partners.
Experience designing social, synchronous, real-time, multi-device, privacy-aware, or ecosystem products can help you make an impact in this role.
Where You'll Be
This role is based in Stockholm or London.
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
