SumUp enables businesses to get paid easily, process orders quickly, sell online instantly, and have full control over their money. We create the tools businesses need to make their business and their customer experience thrive. And we love it! :)
Joining the Payments Tribe will be exciting for you if you enjoy turning complex data into clear, actionable stories. Our teams produce vast amounts of data, and we have a solid foundation of curated datasets. Your mission is to bridge the gap between that data and business decisions - deciding what to show, what to hide, and how to guide stakeholders from top-level KPIs to supporting evidence.
As a (Senior) Product Data Analyst, you won’t just be "building reports." You will be the architect of our analytical narrative, ensuring that our dashboards are intuitive, trustworthy, and high-impact. You will partner with our Data Analytics Engineers so you can focus 100% on insights, visualization, and product experimentation.
What you'll be doing- Data Storytelling: Turn complex Payments metrics into clear, decision-ready narratives for non-expert stakeholders.
- Dashboard Redesign: Streamline our Tableau environment so core stakeholders can answer "How are we doing?" in under 2 minutes without expert support.
- KPI Stewardship: Iterate on our KPI hierarchy- defining North Star vs. diagnostic metrics—and documenting the logic behind them.
- Product Insights: Proactively surface opportunities and risks, shaping experiments and product priorities based on your findings.
- Enable Self-Service: Establish templates and standards for dashboard structure, naming, and annotations to ensure a consistent data culture across the tribe.
- Visual Communication is your superpower: You have strong hands-on experience with Tableau (or equivalent) and a portfolio of work where you’ve simplified complex data views.
- You think like a Product Manager: You understand that a dashboard is a "product" with an audience, a primary question, and a cognitive load.
- Analytical Foundation: You have 3+ years of experience in BI or Product Analytics, with solid SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- KPI Expertise: You have experience selecting and refining metrics, avoiding vanity metrics, and aligning data to business goals.
- Growth Mindset: You are curious about the complex world of Fintech and enjoy the autonomy of driving your own hypotheses.
- Experimentation: Ideally, you’ve worked with A/B testing, causal measurement, or event-tracking platforms before.
- Global Impact: You’ll play a key role in a scale-up that is part of a truly global team of 3,000+ people across 4 continents.
- Real Ownership: You'll have the space to drive your career, take ownership of projects, and impact our product roadmap irrespective of your job description.
- Work-Life Balance: 25 days’ paid leave (increasing with tenure), a 1-month paid Sabbatical after 3 years, and 10 days dedicated "educational leave."
- Growth: An individual learning budget to expand your skillset.
- Family Support: Childbirth/adoption bonuses
- Health and life insurance, co-sponsored Multisport cards, discounts, a referral program, 100 EUR monthly food vouchers, 40 EUR flexible benefits, and more.
