As Nex’s Senior Product Compliance Manager, you will own regulatory readiness and market access for current and future generations of Playground and accessories. You will lead end‑to‑end compliance strategy and execution across hardware, firmware, packaging, wireless connectivity, and associated cloud services to ensure we can sell and support Playground globally. You will be the point of contact for accredited test labs, certification bodies and regional authorities, and you will coordinate closely with our JDM/ODMs and internal engineering, legal and operations teams to plan, test, certify and keep products compliant through design changes and sustaining.
What You’ll Do- Own global market access for Playground and accessories across target regions.
- Plan regulatory pathways and timelines for current and next markets. Proactively identify and eliminate regulatory risk.
- Create and maintain the regulatory requirements matrix per market and product variant, including applicable directives, standards and schemes.
- Build and manage relationships with accredited labs and certification bodies. Obtain quotations, negotiate scope, schedule test slots and manage issue resolution.
- Drive pre‑compliance and lead certification activities end-to-end.
- Coordinate firmware and hardware change control with JDM/ODMs to ensure continued compliance. Trigger delta testing, updates to filings and labeling as needed.
- Build and run a compliance governance cadence, perform post‑market surveillance, reporting status, risks and decisions to leadership.
- 10+ years in product regulatory compliance for consumer electronics, IoT or gaming/AV devices.
- Experience meeting channel requirements from retailers and distributors in US, UK and EU.
- Hands‑on experience taking products through EMC, RF and safety testing with accredited labs and certification bodies.
- Working knowledge of CE/UKCA, FCC/ISED, and at least one APAC scheme. Familiarity with environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE and Battery.
- Experience coordinating with JDM/ODMs on design changes, component substitutions and sustaining certifications.
- Strong documentation skills: test plans, technical files, labeling/markings, declarations and post‑market processes.
- Project management ability to plan timelines, align cross‑functional partners and deliver to schedule.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Background in EE/ME, RF, EMC or product safety engineering.
- Experience with GDPR, COPPA, and KidSafe.
- Experience with Bluetooth and HDMI certifications.
- Experience with connected devices that include cameras, microphones, wireless (Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth).
