In this role, you will be at the heart of our problem-solving process, investigating production abnormalities and low-yield runs to ensure our products meet the highest standards. You will act as a critical bridge between production, quality, and engineering, utilizing structured methodologies like 8D reporting to prevent reoccurrence and drive continuous improvement. This is a high-impact opportunity for a methodical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
- Investigate & Root Cause: Identify and summarize low-yield lots, conducting deep-dive investigations through data analysis, personnel interviews, and comparison against established standards.
- Lead 8D Reporting: Coordinate with support groups to brainstorm root causes and formulate effective corrective actions, ensuring all 8D reports are comprehensive and submitted within commitment dates.
- Manage Material Disposition: Partner with QME for the disposition and safekeeping of affected runs (MRB), ensuring proper documentation and tracking in systems like MES and Oracle/Camstar.
- Drive Communication: Disseminate finalized reports to line supervisors, provide weekly updates on hold lots to the assembly team, and facilitate meetings to resolve process or administrative issues.
- Support Production & Improvement: Provide backup support for assembly supervisors when needed and initiate new systems or methodologies to enhance overall process stability and quality.
- Technical Expertise: A strong electronics background with a solid understanding of semiconductor assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Problem-Solving Mastery: Experience in 8D methodology and containment actions, with the ability to use a logical, systematic, and sequential approach to complex problems.
- Systems Proficiency: Technical comfort working with Microsoft Office, and ideally, experience navigating manufacturing systems such as ORACLE and CAMSTAR.
- Communication Skills: The ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both in writing and in team settings, while maintaining a professional and organized manner.
