We are seeking a highly skilled and data-driven Senior Product Analyst to join our Advertising Product Team. In this role, you will serve as a key strategic partner to Product Management, Engineering, Revenue Operations, Campaign Analytics, and Product Marketing teams to evaluate and optimize our ad products. Your work will directly influence product development roadmaps, monetization strategies, and overall advertising performance across our platforms.
Hybrid 3x a week- (NYC)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team: | The Team and/or Brand
The Advertising Product Team at People Inc. focuses on the following key areas:
Ad Tech - including ad server, mobile app SDK, programmatic (e.g. header bidding), and other monetization integrations. In addition, they partner with each of the brands on ad insertion and behavior logic to support a respectful and premium ad experience.
Ad Creation Platforms - People Inc. has several proprietary platforms and tools to create and maintain our various performance-focused ad unit and content experiences.
D/Cipher - the ad product team collaborates with Data Science, Research & Insights, Operations, and Campaign Analytics teams to build and maintain the tools and integrations to support D/Cipher, our cookie-less targeting solution with proven ad performance across People Inc. essential brands and now extended to the premium open web with D/Cipher+.
About The Positions Contributions:

30% - Product Analytics & Insights
Analyze the performance of advertising products (e.g., display, video, native, rich-media/ high-impact, shoppable, sponsored content).
Design and monitor experiments and A/B tests to inform product decisions and improve ROI.
Work with UXR teams to develop and activate user research programs and glean actionable insights into improving advertising performance.
Expected measurable results:
Deliver periodic data-driven recommendations that directly influenced product roadmap.
Demonstrated improvements in ad product KPIs (e.g., CTR ↑ 15%) as a result of analytics work.
Conduct periodic deep-dive studies on ad formats, placements, etc that led to product changes or experiments.
Create standardized post-launch performance reviews for all major ad features
30% - Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Ops, Revenue Ops, Campaign Analytics, and Product Marketing to define success metrics and reporting needs.
Deliver actionable insights through dashboards, presentations, and documentation.
Act as a thought partner in roadmap planning and feature prioritization.
Collaborate with Campaign Analytics, Measurement Innovation, and Product Marketing to establish performance benchmarks for our Ad Products, delivering vertical-specific content and format best practices.
Expected measurable results:
Significantly contributing to team analytics syncs and cross-functional planning.
Delivering performance dashboards and ad-hoc presentations to Product and stakeholders.
Supporting major roadmap initiatives with defined success metrics and analysis plans.
20% - Data Strategy & Measurement
Develop and maintain scalable tracking and reporting models.
Partner with data engineering to ensure data integrity and completeness across systems.
Identify new data sources and methods to enhance product and advertiser insights.
Expected measurable results:
Defining or improving tracking specifications for new ad products/features.
Establishing and maintaining an experimentation framework (e.g., 10+ valid A/B tests per year).
Ensuring 100% data accuracy and completeness for high-visibility dashboards or decision-making models.
Publishing internal documentation for all core advertising product KPIs and measurement methodologies.
20% - Performance Monitoring
Own reporting on key KPIs: engagement rate, click-through rate, etc.
Alert and investigate anomalies or unexpected performance trends.
Expected measurable results:
Proactively identified ≥3 major revenue-impacting issues via anomaly detection or KPI monitoring (e.g., drop in engagement or click-through rate, increased discrepancy with 3P reporting).
Maintaining reporting cadence for key revenue KPIs: e.g. engagement rate, CTR.
Decreasing time to detection for major ad product bugs or delivery issues.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) and/or equivalent experience required.
Master’s or MBA preferred and/or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3–5+ years of experience in product analytics, preferably in digital advertising or ad tech.
Experience with experimentation frameworks and statistical analysis (A/B testing, regression modeling).
Experience in high-scale environments such as media, marketplaces, or ad networks is a plus.
Experience with ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel), DSPs, SSPs, and programmatic advertising, strongly preferred.
Exposure to revenue forecasting, yield optimization, and advertiser behavior modeling is a plus.
Python experience preferred for advanced analysis and modeling.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Proficient in SQL, with experience using BigQuery within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Skilled in data visualization (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.), with emphasis on Looker Studio.
Strong understanding of advertising metrics and performance levers strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into business insights.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $115,000 - $135,000The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
