Join Our Team as a Senior Procurement Specialist
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing EMEA indirect procurement strategies. You will lead complex categories, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and actively contribute to the optimization of total cost of ownership across the organization.
You will independently research, identify, evaluate and develop strategic suppliers within assigned regions and global categories, working in close partnership with Global Category Managers to align regional execution with global strategies.
You will proactively bring spend under management through the implementation of standardized contractual frameworks, supplier rationalization, catalog expansion, and advanced commercial levers such as rebates, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Category Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development, implementation, execution and measurement of category-specific strategies with a strong focus on supply base optimization, market competitiveness, risk mitigation and long-term value creation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned commodities, demonstrating deep commercial and market knowledge to actively support EMEA sites’ operational needs and growth objectives.
- Translate global category strategies into regional and local execution plans, ensuring alignment while addressing local business requirements.
- Drive and champion innovative, entrepreneurial and data-driven initiatives that deliver continuous improvement, cost optimization, resilience and sustainability within EMEA Indirect Procurement.
- Ensure structured and effective knowledge sharing across the regional procurement organization, embedding best practices, standards and learnings.
Supplier Management & Development
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships, managing supplier performance, quality, compliance, and risk while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Lead and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive-level supplier engagements.
- Develop and execute supplier performance roadmaps, corrective action plans and development initiatives to mitigate risk and unlock additional value.
- Influence supplier behavior through structured governance, performance management and long-term collaboration models.
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted business partner to key EMEA stakeholders, ensuring early procurement involvement in new initiatives, projects and business opportunities above defined spend thresholds.
- Proactively influence and challenge stakeholders to secure alignment with sourcing strategies and total cost of ownership objectives.
- Demonstrate a strong customer-centric mindset by proactively anticipating needs, resolving issues efficiently and delivering measurable value.
- Educate internal stakeholders on sourcing methodologies, market dynamics and procurement value-add.
- Play a key role in maximizing EMEA Indirect Procurement’s purchasing leverage across regions and categories.
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
- Lead medium-to-large, high-complexity sourcing projects across multiple sites and stakeholders.
- Design and execute sourcing strategies, including leading complex RFIs/RFPs, supplier evaluations and negotiations.
- Independently negotiate supplier contracts, commercial terms, service levels, pricing structures and risk mitigation clauses.
- Ensure all contractual agreements meet corporate standards, compliance requirements and risk management principles.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain, commercial and operational risks.
Data, Analytics & Standardization
- Lead regional market analysis and apply insights to sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, competitiveness and cost control.
- Drive indirect material classification, technical specification analysis and standardization initiatives across EMEA to reduce complexity and cost.
- Utilize data and analytics to support fact-based decision-making and stakeholder recommendations.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Act as a role model for organizational values, demonstrating cultural awareness and the ability to operate effectively in a diverse, international environment.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business priorities.
Management & Collaboration
- Reports to the EMEA Indirect Procurement Manager.
- Works in close strategic partnership with Global Category Managers to maintain, adapt and execute category strategies.
- May provide functional guidance or mentoring to junior team members (direct or indirect).

For This Role, You Will Need:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Materials Management, preferably within a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing or complex services environment, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep, end-to-end commercial and technical knowledge of assigned commodity categories.
- Advanced contract management expertise, including redlining, risk evaluation and complex negotiations.
- Strong understanding of supplier ecosystems and proven experience managing strategic suppliers.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
- High proficiency in PC applications and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated change management capability and confidence in driving transformation.
- Strategic relationship builder, comfortable challenging stakeholders and suppliers while articulating procurement’s value proposition clearly and credibly.
