The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team at MBPS. In this role, you’ll provide essential operational support for Manulife’s procurement processes and systems, contributing to our ongoing digitization and process improvement initiatives under Manulife Global Procurement. Reporting to the Procurement Operations Manager, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering business requirements through the efficient execution of the end-to-end procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support operational business requirements related to the end-to-end procurement process timely and efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies and ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Monitor data quality trends and patterns to anticipate and prevent future issues before they impact business operations.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for review and/or submission to the business and to key stakeholders, both in North America and Asia,
  • Support Procurement COE in completing projects to uphold business initiatives which may include data clean-up or management of data integrity.
  • Collaborate across procurement functions to promote consistency, share best practices, and support continuous improvement in procurement operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning improvement.

Qualifications:

  • With 4-5 years of experience in procurement, procurement process or procurement systems. Preferably from BPO or Shared services.
  • Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)
  • Experience working with procurement contracts and related legal documents.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with specific skills in VBA Macros, Power Apps, and Power BI
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Attention to details and accuracy are critical in completing tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to shift schedules.
