PAREXEL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist for our Center of Excellence (CoE) Transactioning team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining strong business relationships with internal and external customers at mid to upper management levels.

You will be responsible for developing local/regional relationships with internal customers and suppliers. Analyze and understand customer requirements in order to provide professional advice and ongoing support to meet their business requirements, especially related to the proper development, completion and as required, initiation and management of a simple and moderately complex RFI/RFQ/ RFP. 

Provide general specialized procurement knowledge, commodity analysis and maintains ongoing commercial relationships between PAREXEL and its suppliers. The Procurement Specialist CoE Transactioning will also play a role in supplier management, working closely with local/regional suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring through negotiation that price competitiveness and high levels of service are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage complex RFI/RFQ/RFP processes
  • Provide in-depth procurement expertise and strategic analysis
  • Lead supplier management initiatives
  • Offer professional advice and support to meet business requirements
  • Mentor less experienced team members and potentially assume team leadership role
  • Maintain close working relationships with internal customers
  • Monitor and verify purchasing processes, pricing, and approvals
  • Conduct detailed analysis for customer requirements and budget planning
  • Develop local/regional supplier relationships
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for optimal pricing
  • Leverage internal resources to meet complex customer needs
  • Provide regular reports and metrics on procurement activities
  • Assist in team leadership and development

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 4-8 years of purchasing experience (Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Negotiation)
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Supporting mid to executive level stakeholders
  • Exposure to global operations and/or professional services
  • Handling senior executive external client relationships
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • APP certification or CIPS qualification (or equivalent)

Language Skills:

  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal)
  • Second language proficiency preferred
