We are currently hiring a Senior Procurement Specialist based in our Head Office. 

As the Senior Procurement Specialist at BCAA, you will play a key role in managing strategic sourcing and operational procurement processes that deliver the greatest value to the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, you will be responsible for optimizing supply management practices, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. You will also support the implementation of best procurement practices, develop complex bid documents, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing and operational procurement processes for goods and services, ensuring alignment with BCAA’s business objectives and values. 

  • Lead the development and management of complex bid documents such as RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, working closely with business units to define requirements and evaluate proposals. 

  • Conduct comprehensive vendor analysis, including assessing vendor performance, compliance with terms and conditions, and identifying opportunities for improvement in supplier relationships. 

  • Oversee the issuance of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, adherence to procurement policies, and swift resolution of any discrepancies or issues. 

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by analyzing procurement data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices in supply chain management. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams across departments to promote and introduce best practices in procurement and supply management, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. 

  • Provide training and guidance on procurement processes and tools, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards while promoting efficiency and transparency. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, offering insights and recommendations on procurement strategies, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier negotiation tactics. 

  • Support fleet management services, including procurement and replacement of fleet vehicles, and ensure that vehicle users comply with BCAA’s Fleet Policy. 

  • Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure that BCAA’s procurement strategies are competitive and forward-thinking. 

  • Engage in contract negotiation and supplier management to maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure favorable contract terms for BCAA. 

  • Monitor and report on procurement performance, preparing regular reports on savings, compliance, and supplier performance for senior management. 

 

What you bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply management, including contract negotiation and strategic sourcing. 

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, risk assessment, and compliance management. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in engaging internal teams and external vendors. 

  • Proficiency in technology-based applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases, to manage procurement processes. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet varied deadlines with attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. 

Bonus Skills: 

  • SCMP or CPSM designation. 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance. 

  • Experience working in a medium to large multi-entity corporate reporting structure.

The salary range for this position is $75,363.00 to $94,203.84 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
