About us

We see the semiconductor industry as a realm of possibility. We see opportunity. We see the profound impact that our graphene solutions will have in transforming the industry. We invite you to join us in driving change with our fundamentally human-centered approach, uniting bright minds around a shared vision. The vision is: Prove to everybody that you can make a fundamental change. Prove with your knowledge and skills how things can be done differently. Together, we can change the paradigm of how the world connects

About our technology

The semiconductor industry’s growing demand for more powerful chips with higher bandwidth and lower power finds its solution in our technology. We connect chips to high-throughput, low-delay computing networks. The key lies in harnessing the physical properties of graphene to combine electronic computing with photonic communication, allowing countless chips to interact almost as if they were one. Our graphene photonic innovation increases computing power and efficiency to a new order of magnitude

In short, we connect chips to create powerful and energy-efficient networks, overcoming connectivity limitations in the semiconductor industry. We deliver the graphene solution

The Role

Black Semiconductor is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer – Lithography (f/m/d) to join our semiconductor fab team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute across a range of lithography topics and take ownership of bringing lithography processes online for new and existing layers in a state-of-the-art facility. Your work to stabilize, optimize, and scale lithography strategies will directly impact both our short-term operational success and long-term manufacturing efficiency

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the Engineering team across coating, exposure, and develop process steps, while also collaborating closely with Integration, Equipment Engineering, and internal/external partners on photoresist evaluation, overlay strategies, and process control development

To join our team, you should be excited to

  • Execute and support the equipment installation and process qualification activities for the Lithography area

  • Work with internal and external Black Semiconductor customers to develop lithography processes that meet defined Unit Process Deliverables

  • Collaborate with the BLK Integration team to support future applications and process modules aligned to our long-term technology roadmap

  • Mentor technical engineering team members and train less-experienced personnel on lithography processes and best practices

  • Develop and implement process control methodologies for assigned lithography equipment and processes, ensuring stability, repeatability, and continuous improvement

Your Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience developing and sustaining processes on 200mm and/or 300mm lithography systems, preferably ASML, Nikon, and/or Canon scanners and DNS and/or TEL tracks

  • Proven experience with installation, start-up, and qualification of lithography tools and overlay/alignment metrology systems

  • Familiar with the process qualification and optimization for lithography processes (Photoresist, BARC, OPL/SOC, etc)

  • Expertise with 193nm/248nm lithography processes - including scanner and track optimization, with strong process engineering expertise and practical equipment know-how

  • Proficiency in developing or supporting overlay/alignment strategies and designing alignment schemes for complex process flows

  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment with a hands-on, proactive approach, supported by DOE experience and strong skills in data analysis, modelling, or data mining

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
